Project Dollway At Home 2 is a 3-month competition for doll clothing designers. Actual Beginning date is Sunday, August 23, 2009 and the final design is due Sunday, November 15, 2009.
Winners will be announced Sunday, November 22, 2009.
On Sunday, August 16, 2009, the first challenge of the competition will be given to the designers, giving three weeks for the first challenge.
And all other challenges will have two weeks for completion.
There will be no elimination per challenge. The judging will be a point system. The winner will be the one designer with the most points with a 2nd and third place runner up.
If there is a tie, in a challenge, we have multiple winners for that challenge.
By chance, there is a tie in the competition, the judges will determine the winner.
Our judges are Robert Tonner (the owner of Tonner Doll Company), Joe Petrollese (Design Director for Tonner Doll Company) and Brandon Wilkes (one of the 12 original designers of the first Project Dollway)
All challenges will be inspired by one, single word for their theme. The one word is given by the host.
The designers of this competition will be using the new Tonner Antoinette (mannequin) doll as their model.
No faces allowed!
One design per person for each challenge.
This time, we are doing a wardrobe. Just look into your closet. There, you will find your ideas. But remember, you are designing for an open book, Antoinette. All equal on the model basis. You are creating her life. So, she must dress accordingly. Is she a business woman, a rock star or a housewife? It's all up to you. What colors does she like? Textures? Styles? Those are the questions you can ask yourself, as you plan. Possibly, you can take her into another year. Is she a woman of today or forty years back? You are the designer. It's your decision!
You are welcome to request being a friend to join in on
