Project 99 was started in the summer of 2007 by Tim Seisser. The members of Project 99 all had one thing in common, a love for technically demanding groove based improv music. Tim was lucky enough to be able to recruit 3 of Chicago's most impressive young musicians. The groove machine Jon Marks who boasts a huge resume of work with groups ranging from straight ahead jazz to groove fusion to indie rock. The new comer to Chicago,super-guitarist Eric Klotz, who is already making his presence known with his own trio. And finally, the keyboard virtuoso Matt Nelson, who also boasts an extremely impressive resume with many of the local Chicago greats. Every Project 99 performance features genre bending instrumentals delivered at a high intensity and dazzling level. The goal of Project 99 is to bridge the accessibility of rock and electronic music with the artistry of jazz and classical music. Look forward to a debut release in the summer of 08.
