From his humbug beginnings in Christchurch, New Zealand...
nRt showed interest in music as a child banging rhythms on cupboard
doors and benchtops, annoying his family but showing potential none
the less. Kitchen surfaces were then exchanged for a Pentium 133 and a
pair of headphones that were donated by his older brother. This selfless act
from his brother was praised within the household as his family did not
appreciate these experimental beats and wished not to hear them anymore...
well at least not as frequently.
From there nRt spent many nights, which quite often spread to early
mornings, exploring his mind and emotions making small segments of music containing a skill or technique he had thought of through the day.
After two or three years of these miniature masterpieces, nRt thought it best
to develop an EP of some sorts to show his family, friends and tax payers
that his long time on the unemployment benefit was not fruitless.
nRt - The EP was born...
Five years later, another EP and a couple of singles under his belt, we reach
present day. He now resides in the Melbourne, Australia working on his full length album, "Live Short or Die Tryin'..." and going under the name
"PROJECT nRt", hopes to have it finished sometime before the end of the year (2008). It encases, still, his exploration throughout the emotional realm aswell as his struggle from child to man. In short; buy the up and coming album and keep him off the benefit!! To finish, a quote from the artist himself,
"Wasn't it easier when your thought circumcision was to do with maths"
