MoviesThe five latest ProjectPulp.com Customer Reviews submitted through the website:

Book of Dark Wisdom, Issue 8
"A+ I'm surprised to be the first to rate this book. This is a great read. I find the book has just the right mix of stories, poems, and artwork. I especially like th editorials."
         -- BDW Superfan

         Whispers of Wickedness, Issue 12
"This is a typically high-quality collection of short fiction, poetry and art from the Whispers of Wickedness stable. As well as five excellent stories there are one poem, one short, dense "prose-poem" (I guess), and interview with Steve Pirie, another hilarious installment of the Blue Pootle Column, and a nicely atmospheric description of an inspiration-seeking trip to Prague.

The stories include: a tongue-in-cheek, surprising, and effective tale of alien visitors and religious fundamentalism by Redwood; a powerful, unflinching story of domestic abuse with an unobtrusive supernatural flavour by Callow; a painful, evocative end-of-civilisation piece, which might just be the epilogue of a longer story, by Melling; a quirky, witty parable of a haunted supermarket by Steel; and a twisted, deeply unsettling and unexpected tale of an accused serial killer by Charles.

This magazine has become a quality and excellent value-for-money publication since its professionalisation earlier this year. If you have not read it yet, you could do worse than going and buying a subscription right now!"
         -- Djibril Harbinger

Kinky Death Poems, Chapbook by Royce Icon
    "i liked it all..."
         -- lisa

Dark Corners of the Mind, Chapbook by D.W. Jones
"D.W. Jones kicks ass in this, his first book of short stories. They are cool and scary and will keep you up all night! Buy it, read it, and you will come to know this new name in horror fiction."
         -- Dark Soul

The Wraith, Graphic Novel by Frank Dirscherl
"I liked the story a lot...it's a very strong debut."
         -- Steve Englehart

Hi--just wanted to stop by, say hello, and let you know that my new novel, FIRES RISING, will be out March 2008. Hope you'll look out for it!

PREPARE FOR HELL ON EARTH

FIRES RISING – IN STORES MARCH 2008

Carlton Mellick III - Bizarro Author

Tacos!

I just wanted to let you know about my latest book. This one is being released through Delirium Books/Corrosion Press:

It features one book by me and one by the excellentest author I know, Jeffrey Thomas.

Here's a description:

Jeffrey Thomas and Carlton Mellick collaborate on their own twisted visions of heaven and hell.

UGLY HEAVEN by Carlton Mellick III

At one point in time, Heaven was a paradise. It was a blissful utopia full of wonders far beyond human comprehension. But that was a long, long time ago. The afterlife is now in ruins. It has become an ugly, lonely wasteland populated by strange monstrous beasts, masturbating angels, and sad man-like beings wallowing in the remains of the once-great Kingdom of God. As two recently departed souls arrive in Heaven, they discover their eternal home is not one of divine peace but of nightmarish ugliness. So they go on a quest to explore this dead alien landscape, desperately seeking answers, allies, and some sort of place they can forever call home.

BEAUTIFUL HELL by Jeffrey Thomas

A writer named Frank Lyre finds himself damned to an afterlife where Demons and Angels are equally sadistic and conflicted, where torturers become seducers, where Jesus likes to sit for a pleasant chat and God is not only going through monstrous changes to His body, but a personal crisis that might forever change His vision of creation. Beautiful Hell is a sequel of sorts to Jeffrey Thomas? acclaimed novel Letters From Hades, but stands on its own as a harrowing study of damnation and regeneration, physical passion and emotional pain, faith and rebellion, and the conflict between the spirit and the flesh.

I am very proud of this book. Please check it out.
