Welcome to "Project S.A.F.E. Eastern Kentucky Animal Welfare League". We are a non-profit organization that relies on donations, adoption fees, and fundraising. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for homeless animals where each will be treated with kindness and respect, to protect the animals of the community from abuse and neglect and to educate its citizens with information concerning responsible ownership. Most animals end up in shelters not because they were less than ideal but because their owners were.
Many of our rescued friends have found the joy of a permanent loving home (some of their pictures are on our pics page) all over the United States thanks in part to the wonderful volunteers who participate in transports.
For as many furry friends that we've escorted to new homes, more come to us seeking shelter, food and a chance at happiness in a forever home.
A friend has asked us to help find a loving home for Chrissy For information on Chrissy, please click on her picture or name:
"CHRISSY" is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd/Chow mix who loves to run and play. She needs a tall fenced-in yard and supervision when outside because she likes to climb. She does well with other dogs and loves squeaky toys. She is does well with kids but tends to jump when excited so kids over 8 would be best. She is crate trained and knows how to sit and walk on leash. She will be spayed before before adoption and utd on vaccinations.
For information on Chrissy, please email Laura - Projectsafe@cumberlandclaims.com
