About me:
Project South is a grassroots organization based in the US South. For over 23 years , we have created critical spaces for movement building. We work with communities pushed forward by the struggle to strengthen leadership for long-term transformation. Our programs focus on communities of color affected by social control and economic degradation created by historic and current trends of privatization, exploitation, and structural racism in the US. We provide popular political education through our dynamic leadership development models, and we build relationships with organizations and networks across the US and global South. We believe in bottom-up movement building for social, racial, and economic justice on local, regional, national, and global levels.Who I'd like to meet:
The People's Movement Assembly is our opportunity to put our voices together to say that we demand a change. We want something better - for ourselves, for the planet, and for the people of the world. The People's Movement Assembly is our chance to spark a new movement for economic, racial and gender justice in this country. Let's all get on the road and join the PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY today.

Morality Without Gods: Fantasy or Possibility?
Monday, March 16th, 7pm-10pm
Georgia State University, Speaker's Auditorium
(inside Student Center at corner of Courtland St SE & Gilmer St SE, Atlanta, GA)
Is religion a creation of humanity whose time has long passed? Or does it serve some deeper need of human beings? Are beliefs in gods obstacles or pathways to understanding and changing the world? At a time of broad controversy and debate over religion – on a scale unprecedented in recent times- Sunsara Taylor, Dr. Kenneth L. Samuel, and Martin Cowen will have an exchange on the question of God, Morality, and the role of religion in society. Hosted by the GSU Revolution Club.

About this page:
I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST
AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY
Wednesday, October 22nd at 4:30pm
Kellogg Park, Kellogg & Wabasha, St. Paul
From mass police brutality during the RNC, to the everyday brutality against people of color and poor people in the streets and in the jails. Something has to be done to end their reign of terror.
• We need a real civilian review authority that holds cops accountable and isn’t just a rubber stamp agency!
• End beatings and abuse in jails - and prosecute the brutal jailers!
• No more bogus charges against police brutality victims. Prosecute brutal cops!
• Drop ALL charges against the RNC arrestees - Dissent is not a crime!
• Fire cops who lie in police reports or in court!
We must let the authorities know that
we will no longer be silent
in the face of police brutality!
Sponsored by Communities United Against Police Brutality

If 9/11 paid for the last crisis how're they going to get away with this one
The next item on their agenda is going to make your head swim
Spare me a dime
Bare faced no nonsense thievery
Going on under you nose
A trillion dollars just to bail out the rich
It’s gonna dig you deeper into your hole
The pretence of concern on their faces
Turns to smiles behind the closed door
They’ve just taken away your future
And you won’t see that anymore
You just paid to decimate the poor
You just sanctioned their next phase of war
It was the only excuse they needed
Your last piece of self respect conceded
Hey there buddy can you spare me a dime
Can you offer some compassion to me?
This dust bowl is choking my thought
I used to think this was the land of the free
How the hell did it come to this?
Being slaves to money power and greed
How did corporate killers and thieves
Become the single self dominant creed
You just paid to decimate the poor
You just sanctioned their next phase of war
It was the only excuse they needed
Your last chance to get off your knees conceded
So keep your love ones close
And you debts to a minimum
And God help the old folk
Cos they’re rewriting the rule book
Making new contingencies
Of acceptable losses
From future power obscenities

LEHRER: You see any -- do you have a major difference with what he just said?
OBAMA: No, actually, I think Senator McCain and I agree for the most part on these issues.
