    What we do

    ptvolunteering.wordpress.com

Project Transitions runs an HIV/AIDS hospice house, three transitional housing programs for people and families living with HIV/AIDS and a thrift store, Top Drawer Thrift. We also host numerous fundraising events throughout the year.

    Hospice

Doug's House is a five-bedroom residential hospice for people in the final stages of AIDS. Short-term intensive respite care is also provided on a space available basis.

    Housing

Roosevelt Gardens, Highland Terrace and Community Housing are transitional housing programs for people living with HIV and AIDS. Experienced social workers help residents apply for permanent housing and achieve their personal goals.

    Thrift Store

Top Drawer Thrift, at 4902 Burnet Rd., provides on average, a fifth of our agency budget each year. Proceeds from Top Drawer allowed for the purchase of Roosevelt Gardens. Top Drawer provides an extensive voucher program for people living with HIV and AIDS. It's a great place to donate clothes or furniture and to shop and volunteer.

    Events

Project Transitions hosts several annual fundraisers: Holiday Swing (in its 20th Anniversary this year), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Texas Swing, and Moonlight Madness at Top Drawer (50% off!!). This year we also had Living City, an indie rock benefit show at Club de Ville on November 1st.
