Sounds Like
Hmmmm .... chuck some old blues guitarists in the blender with primus, the dave matthews band, ani difranco, since joe has no frets on his bass people call Jaco reference ... theres a few riffs in there so zepplin get a mention ... there is even the occasional hip hop'esc groove jam ... hmmm dont know maybe throw in a folky joni mitchell or neil young at times spliced with some rage against the machine and a few aussies cried missy higgins when we sent home ... hmmm indeed
Formed in the Garage of our parents house in Tallebudgera way back in 1999 We have been writing, giggin and generally jamming ever since.
Fortune has smiled upon us and somehow we have managed to do gigs all over the place .. favorites that come to mind would be The Soave guitar festival in Italy, Glastonbury in the UK hmm Barongsai in Oslo was a cracker and all the gigs in the Southern States were amazing ... Our time in london let us do gigs all over the Uk and europe but i'm not gonna list them all.
I was going to paste an 'official' bio but i generally think they are lame so i thought i'd (Julz - guitarist/ singer of the band) just write something ...
Anyway Joe, Chubs and I love playing music and love especially love playing it together (although we are on hiatus mode atm).. probably cause we've done it so much that it enables crazy tangents to be accepted and made to sound good by the other parties.
We have all jumped on board other projects over the years .. I was playing with the Crimea (wicked london band who you should check out) in 2003 and we have both featured on albums by lots of our mates ... Sean Ikin, Jimmi Nolan, Brooke Supple, The Love Bus, Carrie Lennard come to mind immediately as the most recent .. all worth a listen.
Anyway i guess the best way to sum up why we do the PWH thing is .. hmm ... for me ... its when i feel most alive and real .. and in a world where it can be dull and surreal ya gotta find those things .. I think we are lucky and have ... so we're not gonna stop - but so glad you found us .. and wow you even read on without me giving you a propper 'why to listen to this band bio' ... hope you like our music .. but most of all i hope you come to a gig and we can all share some live moments
Thanks
Julz x
PS. this video was me on the Roof of my mates flat in Harlem for a www.rawaudio.net live gig sunday 9th july .. 6 am .. ouch
