Promethean Misery is a solo project. It is a collection of songs written by Samantha Kempster since she was only ten years old. Sam is currently recording her demo EP (in between running a business, and studying music at university).Promethean Misery is piano/voice based, with some underlying doom metal elements- particularly in her later pieces.
Sam primarily plays piano, violin and sings- while dabbling in other instruments. She played violin and sang the backing vocals in Lycanthia, a gothic/doom metal band from Sydney, for approx seven years. She is currently playing keys, violin and lead vocalist in Sydney Doom influenced band Mona's Lament.
