'Once Prometheus brought the fire to humanity, but since last weekend his name also stands for true and powerfull Heavy Metal.' - hell yeah...thats exactly what the newspapers wrote after the very first Prometheus-gig. To date the traditional Metal-Band is looking for the happy medium between melody and riff, so that hard n thrashlike influences often pass into simple-effective catchyness. Concertgoers compared their style with bands like the old Helloween, Manowar or Anthrax.
The bands hard cores existing since feb. 98, but a lot of cast changes did adumbrate especially its early periode. The 2-track demo "Welcome to the MOB" documents the first 'attempts at walking' and soon there will be released a follower, that combines the 'old days' with the new Prometheus-Era. They already could play concerts in serveral different german cities like Ahlen (of course), Krefeld or Lippstadt, of which especially the gig at the "Metal-Mob"-open air with the thashers of DELIRIOUS is to point out.
Musically Prometheus always went the traditional ways of Heavy Metal. Textual they firstly also -with a little wink- didn't leave out any cliché of the harder gangue. The result of this phase was the video to the song "Heavy Metal Night" that could be recorded in November 2000 with a radio-team from Münster. The current line-up consisting of Beavis (drums) and the brothers Black Arrow(bass) and DaylightDreamer (git.) is in times without a leadsinger also sharing the vocals and since July 2006 there is also the new Lead-Guitarist "The Cat".
