Prophacy's sound is a brand new unique sound which makes it almost impossible or even unfair to shove him into just any one (or 3) categories, so armed with this reality and difference Prophacy set out to create and brand his own style.
Venture Sound at it's basis, is the sound of "the adventure of life". As life is not simple and made up of many stages and intricate pieces, so is Prophacy's sound and style.
If you listen to Prophacy's music you will hear pieces of all genres of music, and this is all coming from one mans voice. Since Venture Sound represents and stands for "the sounds and adventure of life", Prophacy never stays stagnated and let's all emotions flow through any given track. It would not be surprising to hear Prophacy sound Classical or Soulful on an in-depth track having to do with pain or life lessons, it would also not be surprising to hear a completely different guttural or rapid fire sound from him on a track about anger or self revelation.
Prophacy is the artist of the future, untamed, unmatched and uninhibited. In a day where people are weak minded and choose the easiest path of following the trends of the times "PROPHACY CHOOSES TO STAY TRUE TO SELF AND BE A LIVING EMBODYMENT OF WHAT LIFES JOURNEY IS SUPPOSED TO BE"...... EVOLUTION OF MIND, BODY AND SOUL!
Prophacy is a twenty-seven year old Midwest born and raised lyrical powerhouse with an original style that can only be described as a hybrid mix of Classical singing, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock and Neo-Soul sprinkled with a hint of Gospel seasoning. It has been said by other artist such as “Reckless from the United Kingdom” and radio DJ’s such as “Houston/Strongarm from Omaha, Nebraska’s 106.9 The Power” that Prophacy is one of the most stunning stage performers in Hip-Hop today. Bizzy Bone (of Bone Thugs N Harmony) at a 2002 sit down with the artist said: “keep doing your thing, you definitely got the heart and the skill to make it far in this business”. That’s exactly what this artist intends to do.
As a registered ASCAP affiliate soon to own his own publishing company and possibly his own indie label in the future, Prophacy is now working hard at getting a record deal that will help further his music career and provide him with at least enough income to provide for his family. Most recently while working on securing a deal (alongside setting up and establishing his own indie label), and also preparing for the release of his debut album “The Descent” which releases 08/28/09 and also his 1st R&B/SOUL project; Prophacy has started working with other artist and producers from a few different countries around the world earning him a good level of respect in the underground community by fans and his artist peers alike.
You can tell that Prophacy has a good focus on what he wants to do and how he is going to get there, he has been part of many shows 1st performing covers at the young age of six while he was locked up in a children’s shelter due to poor family life, then also to more recent things like opening up for international artists: Tech N9ne, Critical Bill, Bizzy Bone, Paul Wall, Chino XL plus many more, and also becoming a 1st runner up in the '06 L.A. Music Awards. Besides performing at numerous events overtime, Prophacy has also released an underground EP which has sold out around the world thanks to “Myspace.com” and “Homersmusic.com”, not to mention he has been listed numerous times on “Myspace.com” as one of the most popular artist in his region. Coming from a hard life full of violence, molestation, un-stability and a family that turned a blind eye to him is what fuels Prophacy’s music to be so real and heart felt to any listener. When you hear his music it just has a way of capturing it’s listener to the point where you can almost feel as if you know him personally and have been there the whole time. Being a true artist, producer and writer, Prophacy does what his heart and soul tell him, “not silly fads or commercialism” which he feels has begun to ruin this generations music. Taking a risk and not allowing himself to follow the "BLING HOP" fads that are so trendy these days, Prophacy chooses to bring real music with a real message to his listeners.
