AND I PASTORED MY FIRST CHURCH AT THE AGE OF NINETEEN. SEVERAL YEARS AGO IT WAS PROPHESY THAT I WOULD BE CALLED BY GOD TO BE A PROPHET. AT THE TIME I DID'NT TAKE IT TO HEART OR GAVE IT ANY THOUGHT AT ALL. THEN ONE DAY I WAS PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT AND I AUDIBLY HEARD THE VOICE OF GOD SPEAKING TO ME FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. THE SAME VOICE THAT SPOKE TO MOSES FROM THE BURNING BUSH.HE SPOKE TO ME!! THAT SAME VOICE THAT SPOKE TO SAUL OF TARSUS ON THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS. HE SPOKE TO ME!!! AND IT HAS HAD SUCH A PROFOUND AFFECT ON ME THAT MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.HIS VOICE WAS AS THE VOICE OF MANY SOUNDING WATERS AND HE SAID," YOU SPEAK MY WORD!! YOU SPEAK MY WORD !! YOU ARE MY PROPHET AND YOU ARE MY MAN.YOU SPEAK MY WORD!! AND I WILL BRING IT TO PASS AND NOT ONE WORD WILL FALL TO THE GROUND.YOU SPEAK MY WORD!! AND YOU WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME. I just got home from the hospital.....I'm great...GOD is GOOD!!!............READ PLEASE*** The Poem I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees.. My Christian duty was now done My soul could rest at ease...... All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear.. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands God held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said 'Your name I cannot find I once was going to write it down... But never found the time' Now do you have the time to pass it on? If you look at what you do not have in life, you don't have anything, If you look at what you have in life, you have everything. READ THE FIRST LINE CAREFULLY..... If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last
night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing
home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few
precious moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the
pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change
correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his
apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student
loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking
bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to
get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our
worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple
walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our
shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the
biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that
they go shopping together.
Heavenly Father, remind us each day
that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is
not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts
not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be
slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.
