After spending the last month driving 4000 miles around the southwest, I arrived back in Los Angeles to discover that my new album 'Anitya' has been released.  Its currently available on amazon, napster and emusic...or you can listen to most of streaming for free on reverbnation.com/tullymackaytisbert.  If you enjoy it I for sure appreciate the support.  The album is 10 songs that involve the idea of anitya in Buddhism that all things are impermanent.  The album is acoustic folk rock that also integrates traditional east asian sounds and uses the chinese lute the pipa.  Thank you for listening!

This beautiful illustration comes from a book I recentlyt sold entitled "Legacy-- Tradition and Innovation in Northwest Coast Indian Art." It was purchased by a man in Wasilla Alaska. The NW coastal Indians have used masks for generations to symbolize the moon. When I look at it, I think mask or moon?



Here is a part of a poem you might find as thought provoking as I do.


The world is like a mask dancing. If you want to see it you don't stand in one place.

Here it is the end of October. This illustration comes from a book I just sold by Thomas Mcknight. I love it for its simplicity and details at the same time. Doesn't it have the feeling of a more peaceful world ?



Last week we narrowly escaped the ravishing fires in San Diego county. Settling back into a routine feels so comforting. Our main task is preparing evacuation boxes to store in our garage so that the next time we are ready to go at a moment's notice.



I hope you are well and looking forward to the joys of fine November days. Stay prepared for all that November brings.
