The Struggles:

If you are anything like me, having to watch my wife leave every night to go work exhausting 12 hr back to back graveyard shifts as a Nurse leaving both of us away from our family most of the time, all just to get by living pay check to pay check. This was so overwhelmingly frustrating and stressful for me and I just hated that feeling of helplessness, not knowing if or how we would ever be able to break out of this terrible rut we were in.

Seeing the sadness in our kids eyes when they asked, "why can't Mom stay home tonight", or "Can't we do something with Dad this weekend ?", and having to tell them, "Sorry Honey, Mom has to work tonight", or "Dad really wants too, but he has to go in to work this weekend, maybe next time", or "Sorry, this is just the way life is right now, things will get better !!" ... But the sad fact was, things weren't getting better.

If you have ever had to say these kind of things to your children, then you know exactly how it feels.
It just breaks your heart.

If you have had hopes and dreams of creating a better life for yourself and your family ... and tried everything you know of to accomplish this and just couldn't seem to reach those goals, no matter how hard you have tried ...

Then, stay tuned ...

I want to share with you a little later how I have discovered a most incredible way to make our dreams a reality that has completely changed our lives forever, but first, let me tell you a little bit about myself and my family and share with you some of my experiences and struggles along the path that brought me to this point in time...

Now, A Bit About Myself & My Family:

My wife Julie and I have 6 kids and 5 grandkids. I was born in Vancouver Canada in 1963, but grew up in Santa Cruz California hanging out on the beach, running around in the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz mountains and playing soccer. I am the oldest of four sons.
My wife Julie was born in Burlington Wisconsin in (well, she wouldn't let me put what year ... :-) )
She grew up on a Dairy farm, the 6th child in a family of eight.

Growing up, I was always involved in the day to day tasks that came with operating our family property management business. I learned the importance of working hard, along with some valuable business management skills. The problem was the small family business model demanded 12 hour days, 7 days a week, so I had never learned the importance of how to leverage my efforts and as I struck out on my own, spent the better part of the next 20 years working extremely hard to benefit someone else.

I spent alot of my early years doing alot of soul searching. For eight of those years I devoted my life enterly to God going into the seminary.
I completed my Masters in Theology and became an ordained Priest. This path I had taken also including 4 years in the U.S. Army working at a Top Secret Satellite Control facility monitoring communications satellites for the Dept. of Defense.
I guess you could say I attracted just a tad of disipline into my life back then, eh :-)

Chasing Success - Climbing the Corporate Ladder:

After leaving the Military, I went to work for one of the defense contractors that built the computer systems that controlled satellites and finished my degree in Computer Science … and so started my slow path up the Corporate ladder.

After several years in the Corporate world, I began to sense that this was not the "ticket" to the good life that it had been made out to be. I was working hard, and not getting ahead and so began the search for an answer, a solution that would hopefully allow us to fulfill our dreams for a better life for our family ...  Enter "The Home Business Opportunity"

Struggling As a Home Based Business Owner:

My involvement in MLM and Network Marketing goes a way back to the late 80’s, and though I don’t like admitting it, I failed miserably (more than once) with several of the well know MLM programs. I jumped from one great program to the next hoping to find the "Right one", and with each new program, the promise of success ... I even tried selling Insurance at one point.

It wasn't that I didn't have the desire to succeed, or that my motivation was lacking, or that my "WHY" wasn't big enough.

I had worked so hard putting into practice, all the old school ways of building an MLM business, prospecting, creating the warm market list and driving my family and friends nuts, showing “The Plan”, inviting anyone and everyone to “The Meeting”, striking up conversations with complete
strangers just to try and give them “My One Minute Message”  all the while, in the back of my mind, I knew there had to be a better way.  It really came down to this.

Was this the way I would want to be treated? Is this the way I would want to be approached about an  Opportunity? Absolutely NOT.  

In addition to alienating my friends and family and becoming a member of the NFL(No Friends/No Family Left) club, I had spent every extra dollar I had on advertizing, product samples, attending all  the local and regional events, and every course on self improvement and motivation that I could get my hands on.

Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm not knocking any of those things, and actually I learned a lot about myself in those times (which I wouldn't trade for anything) ... BUT ... for all my efforts, it did not result in a better more prosperous way of life for my family.

Desperation Sets In:

After numerous tries with several different opportunities ... I dropped out. Now, I hadn't given up on my dream completely. But being broke and in debt up to my ears, I headed back into Corporate America as the solution to my problem.

Another Shot at Success:

It took me a couple of years before I had the courage to take a look at starting my own business again, but I knew being in business for your self was the route to success. In the late 90’s I started my own consulting company and within my first year, reached a six figure income. I had found a niche market and had attracted the right clients to me. This level of success continued until about the time “911” hit and then the market drastically changed. Almost overnight, business dried up. I had not learned how to adjust and re-market myself, so I had to walk away and for the 2nd time, I went back to a Corporate J.O.B. to recover. But, I still did not give up on my dream, I knew in my Heart, there had to be a better way (and guess what, there most definitely is ... more on that in just a minute …)

The Family Story Continues:

I met my wife Julie in February 2000, just before Valentine’s Day. Can you picture this ... ex soccer player/surfer dude from Cali meets the farmer's daughter, love at first sight ... I had 2 girls and Julie had 2 boys and 2 girls (ya, I know, it's practically the Brady Bunch :-) ).

Faced with A New Challenge, The Spark Came Alive:

Now, within a year after we were married, a bit of tragedy struck our family. Julie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Now if you or someone you know or love has ever gone through anything like this, then you know how devastating it can be.  Something like this can completely change your life as it did with us.  I have to say that through all of the struggle and fear and pain, I so admire Julie's faith in God and her incredible strength and positive attitude. An event like this challenged every ounce of our character. We were most fortunate that this was caught in the early stages and by the Grace of God and with a lot of prayer, serious soul searching and lifestyle changes, she came through on the other side, completely cancer free. Thanks be to God !!

I don't think that I have to tell you, that I was a changed man out of this experience. One of the positive things that came out of Julie's bout with Cancer was our commitment to each other and our family to remove as much stress from our lives as possible. I vowed that I would get us out of the rat race of the Corp. life once and for all ...

But, How was I going to accomplish this ?

I knew that I couldn’t take the same approach and use the same old methods that had failed for me before.  I knew I had to learn and learn I did. A change in Mind Set and a change in Business Strategy was in order … and when the student is ready the teacher appears …

The Law of Attraction at Work:

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and I knew that with desire and persistence the right knowledge and opportunity would cross my path. It may have taken me a long time, since my earlier days with MLM and business ventures, but some truly amazing leaders with some absolutely incredible internet marketing techniques and strategies have come into my life within the last year.
What I have learned and what I have been fortunate enough to be privy to, as I worked closely with my coaches, has completely changed how I view and how I conduct my business. In fact, it has completely turned my life around.
What was truly amazing is that all this new and exciting information all crossed my path in a very short period of about three weeks time.…

Discovering The Secret:

Can you imagine how excited I was when I discovered I no longer had to buy leads or make cold calls, pitch my business opportunity to my friends, family and loved ones. I don't have to worry about finding the right moment to unload my One Minute Message on complete strangers or spend hours on the phone trying to convince prospects to join my business. I no longer hand out flyers or hold coffee house meetings.
There is no need to weed through all the Hype and mis-information floating around the internet today … because I'm not searching for answers anymore, now I understand, Now I get it !!
