After the smashing success of EXPANDER's first album Pro Stata immediately decided to sign another Swiss band: KING LOUIS. Their leader is Expander's guitar wierdo Lee Schornouz! You will even hear him die on this record!
S T O R Y: PRO STATA RECORDS was founded in 2001 in Warsaw-Poland by 3 good friends: one metal gutar player, a catholic singer and his brother in law, who also graduated in this matter.
The first release of Pro Stata was the white Russian band BOBO KILLER. Their debut album won the "Igor" (Russian Grammy) for the album of the year! After that they started touring in Russia, Belarus, Ukraina, Aserbeitschan, Kurdistan, Moldau, but also Japan, Holowan and southern India.
An other cult band of the label is of course the Romanian group MEDLEY CREW. This band exists since 1974 (!) and their complete karaoke hit singles were released on a Best Of-Album in 2002. Those songs are known by thousands of children throughout the whole ex-Ost-Block and they are still traveling around with in their big American van.
The Palestinian band TRANS EL-SaHIB only released one single, unfortunately, before they were separated from eachother by the Israelian army.
2007 the Swiss boost rockers EXPANDER released their new album. They are loved and hated by their audience at the same time! And hey: They even played support for „FREE FORM FUNKY FREQS“ (USA): Vernon Reid guitar (Living Colour) / Jamaaladeen Tacuma bass / Calvin Weston drums (James Blood Ulmer, Marc Ribot).
