My music is influenced by a wide variety of genres and musicians. Most notably Wu-Tang (RZA), Roey Marquis II, Dan the Automator and Roots Manuva for Hip Hop, Elmore James, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Eric Clapton/Cream for Blues, almost everything from the Classic Rock and Motown/Soul genre, and Bodgan Raczynski, Mr. Oizo, Feadz, Justice and the rest of Ed Bangers, Prodigy, and The Streets for upbeat music. I was a kid once more than I am now... so probably Fredrik Vahle since I believe that a feeling for music is created early in life. Basically any music that is real or really strange, so there are many more unmentioned influences.

I lived on the outskirts of Hamburg, Germany for 16 years before moving to the US. I have traveled all over the world and have been exposed to the music and party scene of many cities. I started getting into creating music around the year 2000, composing very abstract beats in search of rhythm and style. As a self-taught musician, I create music mainly by finding a purpose for an interesting sound, but cannot deny that I am strongly influenced by blues, ethnic and electronic music. The music creation process varies with the project, but I try to create sophisticated groove driven music with the unique PROT sound.
Generally, I enjoy all types of music. The music I prefer to hear is from people who cant sing, who don't have money, and who sing so they feel better about themselves or try to change their situation and/or surroundings. I like music that is not made for money. I like music that is real. But I respect musicians that make good music for the wrong reasons, too.
I am always looking to network with other musicians and artitsts. If you are interested in my music and/or would like to work together on a project let me know.
