Hello friend,

My Mission is:
To seek expansion of my education of movement knowledge in respect to health, wellness, and expression of the mind, body, and the human spirit through performing, teaching, and learning Movement Education.
My name is Francesco Caban I have a BFA in Dance Education and have lived my life dedicated to the movement arts, you can find more information on exactly what I have done on my resume which will be on here shortly. My bio is below.
Francesco Caban is an architect of movement that seeks to excel as a Parkour, Dance, and Acrobatic instructor, choreographer, and performer while spreading the knowledge of the benefits of movement within the three elements of body, mind, and spirit. Devoted for over 8 years to the “Movement Arts” he is ready to start developing his career and pass on his knowledge. Currently Francesco Caban is in his senior year at ASU pursuing his BFA in dance education through the Katherine K. Herberger College of Arts with the graduation date of 2009.
Francesco Caban is a strong believer in the interconnection of all movement and is on a life journey to explore how different physical attainments such as dance, gymnastics, martial arts, le Parkour, and sports all share a common movement source, and has since coined the phrase “Movement Artist” as his profession. He also strongly believes in the application of the three major elements known as the body, mind, and human spirit. The body, being ones physical ability and application; The mind, being how one sorts through their physical knowledge; And the human spirit, being how ones will alone can help to aide the body and mind to accomplish great feats. With the use of integrated curriculum and constructivist approaches he focuses on each student individually and subjectively to help them grow a self identity and understand their personal strengths as movers in order to benefit everyone else.
A coach at Scottsdale Gymnastics he is currently teaching Parkour, a form of urban acrobatic training that teaches one to be able to move over any terrain without being hindered by obstacles of any kind, it emphasizes constantly training every day to be the best you can at everything you do. He still trains and is constantly learning new ways to integrate interconnectivity so as to make every teaching experience efficient, exciting, creative and fun for his students. Francesco Caban traveled to engage in Parkour workshops outside the state of Arizona such as Colorado to work with Ryan Ford and Matt Marshal of COPK, and to Ohio to Parkour Horizons workshop in which they flew in Parkour Generations from France for a four day experience of movement and Q & A. Durring this workshop he met with internationally known athletes such as Stephane Vigroux, Forrest, and Dan Edwards.
Francesco’s background includes 8 years of break dancing and new style hip hop, three years of university level contemporary modern and ballet technique, acrobatics/martial art tricks, partner stunting/adagio, cheer leading, capoeira, and character roles (Former ASU’s Sparky). Francesco Caban has taught over three years in both studio and university settings with students of all ages and has since provided several master classes to such studios as “Heat Wave, Yen-Li Chen Ballet Academy, and Glendale Community College.”
Francesco Caban was a member of the street style hip hop Nebellen Dance Company, now renamed “Epic,” for just under three years being the youngest dancer to ever make it into the professional company at age 17 and while still in high school. Francesco Caban has worked with such modern artists as David Dorfman, Yvonne Rainer, and Travis Mesmen (a three year veteran of Momix dance company.) A student of Sara “Saza” Dimmick a renown hip hop instructor within Arizona and Jay “Camara” Spain of Axe Capoeira. Francesco Caban recently traveled to New York to audition for the prestigious Momix Dance Co. and out of fifty males managed to make call backs the following week.

:-) The idea of understanding happiness through the little things and mere experiences in life has been something very dear to me lately. Theres always those things in life that come up right when you need to hear them. Reading your thoughts was one of them. Shows who understands you in life and is comforting to have someone who relates in that way. Take care.
