I have been a journalist and PR person, as a civilian and in the military, for more than forty years. I have been married to a career soldier for twenty-five of those years. My husband is still on active duty and doesn't plan on retiring any time soon. Working on the WWW is the perfect job for a military spouse since my computer is my office. Each time my husband comes down on PCS orders, I grab my briefcase, pack up my "office" and I'm ready to move! He is currently stationed at Fort Irwin, CA.

I have learned that the only true legacy is the memory you leave behind and the only true measure of wealth is the sum total of what you give away; not what you accumulate. To that end, I give freely of my material possessions but, more importantly, I also give freely of my heart. My life goal is that every person I meet, whether for a few seconds or many years, will benefit from the encounter.

I enjoy all music but I have worked for more than a decade in the country music industry as both a journalist and a PR person. I am extremely proud to be able to say that one of my very first clients, more than a decade ago, was Joe Nichols. He is not only one of the most talented entertainers in this industry but he is also one of the sweetest, funniest and kindest souls to be found anywhere.

The Silent Ranks
I wear no uniforms, no dress blues or army greens but I am in the Army ranks, among the rarely seen. I have no rank upon my shoulders - salutes I do not give but the military world is the place in which I live. I'm not within the chain of command, orders I do not get but my husband is the one who does, this I cannot forget. I'm not the one who fires the weapon, or who puts my life on the line but my job is really just as tough; I'm the one that's left behind. My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man and the call to serve his country, not all can understand. Behind the lines I see the things needed to keep this country free; my husband makes the sacrifice, but so does his family. I love the man I married, and soldering is his life so I stand among the silent ranks known as the Army wife.
