Overcome by complacency, apathy, and the lack of truly aggressive music, Portland, Oregon gave birth to the Hardcore Metal group known as Proven. Defining determination and possessing a strong desire to bring their message to the world, Proven has shown that they are determined to not let anything hold them back, and determined to do more on their own terms, by their own hands.
Their songs, sound, work ethic, and live show garnered the attention of Billy Graziadei of Biohazard in 2006. Proven has since recorded three albums with Billy as co-producer and co-engineer, has shared the stage with a lot of great bands including Biohazard, Pro-Pain, Amon Amarth, Sworn Enemy, Himsa, Full Blown Chaos, Furious Styles, The Destro and many others.
Proven has toured both Ireland and the US, and has pummeled fans worldwide on XM/Sirius and terrestrial radio stations across the nation. Proven achieved over 250,000 plays and over 50,000 fans on their Myspace profile the hard way; no computer programs to add friends or bots to boost play counts. No hand outs, no special treatment, no breaks... Proven has fought for and earned every victory themselves.
Proven crafts smart songs with interesting structures that draw you in for more. The band has sold over 3000 copies of the first two CDs out of the trunks of their cars and at their shows. The lyrics pull no punches and the music is as real and unrelenting as it gets.
