Some info about me:
I've been playing the piano for 16 years (since I was 2). The guitar/bass abot 3 or 4 years, and I have no idea about the drums (I taught myself on my keyboard). I play all the instruments myself into my Apple iMac running Mac OS X 10.5.2 with Logic Pro 8 and Garageband with 2 GHz Intel Core Duo 2 Processor and 2GB RAM.
While you here check out these guys:

Yea Z take sometime to get into but they are pretty amazing - If your into your avant garde music that is!
Yea Tatsuya Yoshida is seriously underrated. However my favourite drummer is Bobby Jarzombek - don't think anyone can actually play what he plays haha!
Cheers for the kind words man :0) Hope you are well!!
I think there is alot of good things in Hip-Hop music to learn from rhythmically. I of course refer to REAL Hip-Hop like "Jurrasic 5", "De La Soul" etc...not "RAP" were all they do is rap about how many cars they have etc
Ah well Tatsuya Yoshida has done drums for quite a few projects. I am SO glad i was able to see him perform "Ruins Alone" back in April in London.
Ruins (Alone) used to be just called "RUINS" which had Tatsuya yoshida on drums and another guy on bass. However since so many bassists left the band he ended up doing the band with just him on drums and a programmed backing track - which is CRAZY since his music demands the utmost strict timing in the most craziest rhythms and time sigs (he makes time sigs like 31/16 look like a joke)
Yea, Camden is a dump....too many tourists and smelly kids wearing too much bland black clothing ;0p - Also the drugs are pretty iffy there - wouldn't get any stuff from there...well i don't do anything anymore but i wouldn't anyhow from Camden.
Hmm...well....i guess the remedy for that would be this:
Listen to everything. I mean..within' reason. Listen to what you of course enjoy....but try finding an appreciation for genres of music you weren't sure of before, like Jazz or whatever....it is also a matter of knowing where to start off in these genres - usually it takes an artist who speaks to you who gets you into these things.
So for Avant-Garde music for example tatsuya Yoshida from the band "Ruins Alone" got me into Avant-Garde....and Allan Holdsworth or Chick Corea got me into Jazz Fusion! :)
Meshuggah helped me appreciate polyrhythmic textures in guitar playing and drumming (since i am a drummer before i was a guitarist) - so its things like that which also helped my song writing :0)
Well there is a place in Camden which supposedly does your hair in a wacky style for quite cheap....though....as you know....you pay cheap you get cheap :0(
It feels odd doing your own songs? :) How come? :)
Ah yea Visual Kei style is HORRIBLE for funds :( it costs so much already maintaining your hair etc...its very hard for the DIY artist etc :0( - Though honestly good luck with your style - i'm looking forward to seeing it :D
Ah well i can't wait to hear your stuff anyhow :0) I'm sure it will be good :D
Ah i am so happy you liked my new tracks! I am just trying to express everything i love melodically and through particular instrument choice in my songs - also i don't like having too many songs having the same "sound" or "theme"....so i try to make them different all the time hehe :0)
Thank you so much though for your kind words, i really appreciate it so much!! <3
that was pretty lazy! half term!! wahey!! we should kidnap sam an bring him in or summin!! mwaahaha...thatll show him to leave the sultans. but oh well..bring on the musketqueers!! joe x
Ah that sounds awesome man! You should tell me more about your music and let me hear it - i am intrigued!!! I mean your covers on your site were damn good so i'm sure your own music is gonna be VERY cool - if anything well produced hehe :D (i suck at producing!!)
I am still sick - nearly suffocated last night trying to get to sleep cause i couldn't breathe - damn snot!!!!! Other than that i have yet again been working with the sound engineer on the other single song :0) - I plan to put the WHOLE track up here on MySpace once its done!!!
Ah awesome!! :) Thank you so much for that - i am glad you like my music!!! I have two new tracks which are going to be uploaded to MySpace as samples fairly soon i hope....all professionally mixed :0o !! (i am just battling with the Engineer to get them done right now haha!)
Ah tabs, well yes i have tabs of all my stuff since i copyright all my stuff via this method etc....i can probably spare an ASCII version of a particular guitar part you want? Just email me at dissidentgenro@googlemail.com
Though....i might end up making a section for people to download the tabs later! :0) We'll see.
