A Proverb, sometimes called a "maxim," is a truth condensed into a few words and stated in a memorable fashion which has application to a variety of situations in life. In the book of Proverbs, we find wisdom that works and insights that won't wear out. Proverbs is used for gaining wisdom and discipline for a more prudent life.
Here at Proverbs Women we hope to learn together how to follow God's wisdom, and merge that godly wisdom with real life. (Proverbs 1:2-6)
The name Proverbs Women is derived from Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
