~ the PROVIDENCE RECORD SHOW + ROCK & ROLL YARD SALE is a Sale of Vinyl Records and DIY Handmade Goods that occurs in Downtown Providence as many as 6 times a year at different locations. Our events were initially held at AS220 and have also been part of their "20-FEST" and "FOO-FEST"street festivals which we helped organize and promote for several years. We also helped put together the 2008 debut PROVIDENCE INDIEARTS FESTIVAL which was held in BURNSIDE PARK in downtown providence and we have also brought our show on the road to Somerville, Massachusetts in the Boston Area as THE SOMERVILLE ROCK & ROLL YARD SALE annually since 2007 and enjoy our partnership with the Somerville Arts Council for these events (soon to be more than once a year) and while our events focus on Vinyl Records and other Music-Related stuff, DIY artists and crafters are also welcome and have become an important part of our events. if you like vinyl, our events are just that the doctor ordered! if you like cd's, there are plenty to choose from. in fact, the past shows have featured lp's, 45's, 78's, compact discs, cassettes and even 8-tracks! there have also been vintage posters as well as new locally screen printed rock posters, t-shirts and even great vintage clothes and musical instruments. sound like fun? check it out! ~also, when we aren't putting on shows, we are in our shop in WAYLAND SQUARE in providence. we are WHAT CHEER ANTIQUES + VINTAGE and are located at 7 south angell street, providence, rhode island 02906. we are usually open wednesdays - sundays from noon - 5pm and we carry lots and lots of vinyl at our shop. you can reach us there at 401.861.4244 and you can also check out our store's myspace page at: www.myspace.com/what_cheer - I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
