GENTLEMAN'S CHOICE is the story of a truly nice guy who became a total jerk when he was drinking. When the STEROID GHB was added to the mix he became truly dangerous. A trained architect and judo competition winner from England, and a man with strong will and ambition, Chris Adams sought fame and fortune in America. He achieved it as a professional wrestler in the mid-1980’s as “Gentleman” Chris Adams.
At the peak of his career, he was performing in front of tens of thousands in stadiums and arenas with wrestling legends including Kerry and Kevin Von Erich. Adams submitted to the temptations that accompany fame and fortune. As soon as things were starting to go really well; other things started to go seriously wrong. He got involved with the wrong crowd, accidentally killed a girlfriend, assaulted men and women, spent time in prison, and ultimately perished at the hands of his best friend.
Along with entertaining archival wrestling footage featuring Adams and his co-stars of the day, this documentary includes revealing interviews with the people who were there, who knew Adams personally ... friends, family, wrestlers, promoters, managers, wives, strippers, drug dealers, enablers, and the man who killed Adams. There are many similarities to the Chris Benoit tragedy in this film. In fact, Chris Benoit and Chris Adams wrestled together in Atlanta at the WCW. They also shared a common interest in many of the same drugs which includes the drug called alcohol. It is planned that GENTLEMAN'S CHOICE will be released theat
We need someone who is dedicated to what they believe in, driven to succeed and willing to do what is necessary in order to realize their dreams. We need a person who centers their life around improving themselves mentally and physically to become a shining example of what you can accomplish through hard work and perseverance, the very definition of the American Dream.
We need someone to guide us through these troubled, uncertain times and bring us out of the hole that we as a nation have dug ourselves into. That someone is Consequences Creed.
Hey Lex, just wanted to say once again that all of us at the Wrestling House Show podcast appreciate the plugs on your show you gave us during our launch. We also appreciate the mention on thenewpwb. com which I visit daily. Really glad you're still doing the interviews and love hearing them via the convenience of the subscription.
Hey Lex I just got back from my first roh show (at the hammerstein ballroom) and all I can say is holy shit was it awsome. I bought a few dvds before but seeing it live was 100 times better. There were no title changes but all the matches were amazing. Seeing Albright turn on everyone in Sweet and Sour Inc was pretty cool. I went with my friend who isnt a wrestling fan but weve had the El Generico entrance music in our heads all night. That was actually one of the highlights OLE! OLE! OLE OLE! Oh and we were in the back row on the floor right near backstage and we say sarah del ray, kevin steen, and someone who we think was el generico without the mask all just chilling and watching matches. Great night man and since PWB turned me on to ROH iI have to give you thanks man.
Hey Lex, what up? Want to let you know the wrestlinggonewrong. com is back up and running. If you haven't seen this site check it out. It's pretty sick.
Whats up Lex. So i'm going to my first roh show saturday night in manhattan. Seeing as how youve seen them live before and i'm pretty new to roh I just wanted to see how you think the card shapes up:
April 4, XCW presents BattleBox 9. BattleBox btw is XCW's biggest show of the year, so you'll want to try to make it out... leave early to try to beat the NASCAR traffic. I'll be there.
I was listening to the podcast and heard you saw you hoped Flair was going into the hall of fame, don't know if you forgot or just didn't hear but he was the first one announced for this years class on raw two weeks or so ago.
Thanks for keeping my head sane while I had to be at work on Sunday. I promise I will get signed up to the new blog like a good little PWBite as soon as I can.
Great new podcast format Lex. Is PWB top on itunes yet? Because it should be.
Did you pop your ass off when number 30 came out at the rumble before realizing that you looked "un-cool" jumping up and down like a school girl from the 60's at a beatles concert?
YO LEX! HOLY $#!T. i finally got near a computer to where i can be on long enoough to check things out.. my how quickly things can change. glad to see that PWB is still going strong. hope to contribute to future podcasts soon. Later.
Hey, so I met guys from New York Wrestling Connection, Jersey All Pro Wrestling and East Coast Professional Wrestling. I mean, they are not national names, but they have been really good guys. I don't know it might be cool to hear a guy trying to make it, and just how hard it can be and what not. Anyway, thank you for answering me back.
Hey Lex good show. I enjoy it very much. I was just wondering if you would ever interview an indy wrestler. I'm not one by the way, but I been meeting several indy wrestlers because of work and was just wondering if you would think of having them on your show if they approached you.
I've been watching TNA recently oddly enough because I hate the Raw vs Smackdown games and the TNA game looks incredible. I wanted to be informed about the characters and moves and rules so I'm not confused when I play it.
The great benefit of this is what happened at Turning Point. Samoa Joe's speech will go down as one of the greatest wrestling moments in history for me. Aside from that I love the shockingly good women's matches. So far I've only been watching the pay per views, but after Turning Point how could you NOT watch Impact to see the consequences of everything that happened.
Do you think they are setting up for an Elimination Chamber match by having so many #1 contenders battling each other? So far they have enough players with Kennedy, Orton, HBK, Y2K, Hardy, and Triple H.
