About the PRS for Music Major Live Events & Tours Team
Hi! We are Gary, Pete, Catrin, James and Scott, otherwise known as the PRS for Music Major Live Events and Tours team. It's our job to pursue setlist information in order to match live and DJ sets to the corresponding performing right royalties.
If you or your bandmates write the songs you perform live, we can help you receive any royalties you are due.
Of course, in order to receive any royalties you must first be a PRS for Music member. Find out how to join up!
If you are already PRS for Music members then there are three main ways you can qualify for royalty payments:
If you perform regularly in pubs, bars and small clubs around the UK you may be eligible for royalties under our Gigs and Clubs scheme.
If you are perfoming or touring at the larger music venues, theatres, universities or even bigger venues you must first check our Live Music Policy. Once you've done this, provide your setlist to majorliveeventsandtours@prsformusic.com.
If you are playing any PRS licensed UK festivals this year, please forward a set list to receive your royalties. You can either post the set list to this MySpace page or forward to majorliveeventsandtours@prsformusic.com
Are you a DJ?
PRS for Music distributes royalties for DJ sets too. While understanding that obtaining a list of every single track to be performed may not be possible, a set list that is representative of the core tracks that will be performed over the course of the festival season is still acceptable. Typically we ask for the 15 most frequently played tracks.
Thanks for the ADHD and for doing this work on behalf of all the bands and songwriters who get sh*t on at every conceivable moment by the music "industry". Rant over X
