About me:

.. I am currently in my 28th year in the teaching profession. After 23 years with the Hickory Public Schools, I'm in my fifth year with the Catawba County Schools. I was traded for an overhead projector and a dried out white board marker. As you can tell from the previous sentence, I have a somewhat awkward sense of humor. I enjoy taking digital pictures, collecting antique advertising, writing and reading, and generally goofing off. I most often can be found in one of the local coffeeshops - don't hesitate to drop by and say hey. I am single after being married for 23 years. Getting back into the dating scene has presented quite a few challenges and I've come to the conclusion life is OK with or without someone to share it with. I consider myself to be a person of faith. God has done for me what I could not have done for myself. God continues and will continue to do for me what I cannot do for myself. I have blessed with much in life and owe it all to him. I don't consider myself to be strictly religious and have a wide range of friends from an assortment of belief systems.
