About me:
I'm Jen. My history is vast & rich. I'm a Texan through & through, I can't imagine living anywhere else. I've been in Houston for over 12 years now. It feels like home, even though I'm not "from" here. I'm technically "from" Dallas, but I have no real ties left there besides a grandma in the sticks.I'm an only child, plagued with being a loner most of my childhood, but it helped make me the strong independent person I am today. I spent a little time living in the Detroit area, I gained a lot of perspective on the world in the time I spent there.
I moved to Houston in 97 and spent my last 2 years of HS out in the Cy-Fair area. Bleh.
I went to college in Huntsville... prison capital of Texas. I got my BFA in Radio/ TV from Sam Houston, and made a lot of really cool friends there. Many whom I still keep in touch with.
4 days after college I started my current job, over 6 years ago. I've been here a long long long time. It's the bane of my existence, but it pays the bills.
I was a founding member of Houston Roller Derby. I've been retired for a few years now, and I still occasionally go out to support, but I skate for myself now, and it works out better for me.
I street skate and ride my bike as much as possible. I'd love to get a job that I could ride my bike to, that would be the shit!
I'm currently working on a new life plan, so far things are going according to plan, although I reserve the right to let the life plan evolve as necessity dictates.
