postscript s is a new york based duo comprised of ursula damm and patrick savage.
patrick grew up in limerick, ireland where he started singing at an early age. his utter hatred of and inability at sports and any outdoor activities in combination with his sisters discarded acoustic guitar led him to spending countless hours learning how to play said instrument. after school, patrick attended college in canterbury, england where he studied art and started home recording and performing solo shows. in early 2001 he moved to new york.
ursula grew up in altena, germany. because of her lack of social skills and clubbed feet she began playing music at an early age, learning multiple instruments out of which the cello became her main focus. after performing both solo and with orchestras she moved on to playing in bands. whilst doing that she studied communication design/photography in dortmund, germany earning her m.a. and moved to new york in late 2000 to continue her studies.
patrick and ursula met in early 2001 through a mutual friend who exclaimed that one plays the cello and the other sings and plays guitar. after this ground breaking discovery ursula and patrick set out to overcome their previously mentioned disabilities and to write a wide array of songs. bringing together their shared love of music ranging from classical, folk, punk and electronica. they started out as a duo morphing through different conceptions, and arrangements ultimately resulting in their present two piece.
with the mix of emotive lyrics, etheral vocals and complex cello lines ps has forged a unique sound, which seperates them from any particular style or trend.

ok so seriously when are you guys playing? I love what I heard of the new stuff, we want more! I am itching to be the yelling girl at the front. oh and when did I get shafted to second in the frien list, honestly you'd sware I'd need to be related to one of the band members to get top position..grumble grumble
I had to tell you guys, I listened to Reserved last night from Double Standards, and I think I'd rank that somewhere in my favorite songs of ALL TIME!! No lie. It's awesome!

really nice tunes you have there...i will be finished with my album in spring, we should swop cd's when you'be done with yours...i still have your demo cd that i put on when i wonna think of the good old UK days. ;-)
