I've been playing Carnatic music (South Indian Classical) on the Saraswati Veena for the past four years. I'm a member in Boston University's Dheem, a club devoted to the Classical Indian Arts and I perform in their shows every semester.
were you at the KalekShetra dance drama tonight. It was SO amazing ( the Man in the Iron Mak) .... Ive seen alot of dance dramas since I came to Chennai.... and many of them in KalekShetra.... but this one was to my mind, far and away, the very best. The music, the costumes, the choreography..... Really, I was so amazed. Hey can you send me your phone number? Its gotten lost among my hundreds of missed calls.... ( im not supposed to answer my phone during class)... OR call me again and leave a text message.... so I know which number is yours, and that way I can call you back. I hope we get a chance to get together.
I wasn't born in Chennai.... but Im living here currently to study bharatanatyam. My arangetram is next year.
