BLiSS is Yonatan Marcow, born 1981 in a small village in northern Israel. At the age of 16, with a background in rock..n..roll guitar, Yonatan discovered electronic music when he bought a Roland groove box. At the same time his friend, Roy Engel(aka Painkiller), introduced him to the psytrance world with tunes from astral projection, double dragon and other mind blowing acts from those times.
The two started producing tunes as "Shaff Puff"-but life took them both in different directions and the collaboration ended July 1999 after Yonatan had to join the Israeli army and Roy left to the USA. It was then that Yonatan Decided to start produce psytrance alone-"BLISS" was born.
After finishing his military obligations Yonatan sat down and started producing.With out leaving the studio much and hours of hard work Yonatan signed to Phantasm early in 2005. December that year saw the release of his debut album, ?The Rhythmus Gene", 10 tracks of superbly produced, tough psyharmonic madness. This album came as a surprise to many.
Since then, Yonatan has been traveling around the globe, performing his new tunes at parties, festivals and clubs. This gave him the chance to produce with Painkiller again, this time in Spain. The two produced the story teller ?Goblin Fever?, which is caned by many Djs around the world.
Yonatan has also collaborated in 2006 with names such as Sirius Isness, CPU, Azax Syndrome, Basic Mekkanikka and U-Recken. Remixed tracks of Psysex, Atomic Pulse, Dynamic,CPU, Michele Adamson Loud and some more on the way!
After the success of his first album, the second mind blower from Bliss was highly expected. "The Looney Bin", released febuary 2008 is full of strength and sirius lines with sometimes a comedy edge to them. Its mixes old with new and electro with psycho all in one to achieve the fun experience!!
