Drew Barrymore to Direct Third Twilight?
Fri., Feb. 27, 2009 8:49 AM PST by Josh Grossberg

Drew Barrymore knows a thing or two about extraterrestrials, so vampires shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

The E.T. actress is in talks to direct Eclipse, the third entry in the Twilight franchise.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Barrymore is among the top choices to follow in the footsteps of Catherine Hardwicke, who helmed Twilight, and Chris Weitz, who's about to start filming the first sequel, New Moon.

Hardwicke opted out of the franchise because she felt she didn't have enough breathing room to do the follow-up justice. And because of producer Summit Entertainment's tight release schedule—New Moon is set for a Nov. 20, 2009, release and Eclipse just six months later, on June 30, 2010—Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon while Eclipse is filming.

Barrymore has just wrapped her feature-directing debut with Whip It!, starring Ellen Page.

A rep for Barrymore declined to comment on the report.
yes, yes it was. tho i personally was kinda upset that...wait a minute..where the heck did u get the book, i thought u wanted to borrow my copy. hmmm, oh well. nvrmind.
i havent gotten any flair from u on facebook yet. but i will accept it when i do. and then we will discuss the books over lunch one day.
You know, I've never had wine. Just the sparkling cider haha but never wine.
I'm anxious to read your email! lol Did you go crazy, Kat? That would be highly surprising, at least to me.
And well, I finally scored a job. It's at the JCP portrait studios. Right now I'm training and I hope to expand my knowledge in the photography field. I really enjoy it but this is definitely much more fast paced than anything else. Hopefully it goes well. =D I enjoy photography, much like you said it's fun to capture these moments. Ah I love it i really do hope it goes well.
And no, I ended up not participating in the whole dressing up for Halloween. I didn't feel up for it. But I did have fun and it was definitely an interesting night. A little to weird for my taste but fun nonetheless.
So how was yours? How's everything going? And i'm starting to believe you're an alien magnet. I wish I was. =/
For some reason, I really thought the character resembled you. And that's really cool. I like that. I make characters in my head from time to time...okay almost all the time. haha. But Bounty Hunter. Cool.
And GAS! REALLY! LOL. Oh wow. That's quite a turn of events but I guess it's better than having to get a new battery!
And well I haven't been up to much just living life day by day. And enjoying make up and my camera a little too much. HAHA. I had an interview but no word yet. So I'll be applying at places again tomorrow. =/
And LOL to you losing Wicked. Maybe it's not meant to be. Too bad though, it's a neat story.
How about you, how was your birthday? Any newfound realizations in the past weeks? Aliens?
i'm loving the new page! Okay, who is the comic girl? She looks vaguely familiar...i must know! So I meant to ask how it went with the Van?!? And have you been reading Wicked???
I hope that it is a great day for you and that you get to do what you want. Remember its YOUR day and no one elses. Keep up the great work in all you do and keep a smile on :)
I'm looking forward to lunch and the day out shopping for your birthday...I hope you have fun and a wonderful 21st birthday. We love you and are very proud of the beautiful, sweet, smart, young christian woman you have become.
