Psychiatric Challenge were an experimental free improvising outfit formed in 2000. Pieces range in dynamic from harsh noise to textural soundscapes often evocative of AMM, Stockhausen, MEV and many early works of electronic experimentation.
Psychiatric Challenge have performed with Evan Parker, The Popes, Eddie Prevost, John Russell, Solar Fire Trio, Philip Jeck, Lol Coxhill, Konk Pack, Mark Wastell, Rhodri Davis, Paul Rutherford, Stuckometer, Keith Rowe, Emily Hay, Chao Ming Chueng, Ray Dickaty and RPM.
They were part of the Warrington Improvised Music Collective and regularly staged live improvsed music with many guest artists.
