Psycho 78 is a Tacoma based punk rock band that brings energy and excitement to every show. Mikey Waco is lead vox and guitar, Jay plays bass and contributes backing vox, and Davo is on drums. The band has been together since 2005, but started out life as a two piece consisting of Waco and Davo playin' lots of shows around Tacoma such places Hell’s Kitchen, Maggie O’Toole’s, the Catbox (when it was still that) the Cedarwood, and many other venues. We all come from different parts of the country. Waco being from California, Jay from New York and Davo from New Mexico. All to join together to make really rockin' punk rock music. Our influences range from a wide variety of sources. Waco being from a punk rock background with bands such as Face to Face, Supersuckers, Bad Religion, Lagwagon and more. Davo comes from mostly a metal background. Bands like Pantera, Slayer, Devildriver, Lamb of God and many more. Psycho 78 takes a diverse approach in creating their music. They realize that there are many musical tastes and they are not afraid to stray from the norm. Come to show one night you might be impressed.
