"In the year 2000" by Conan O'Brien and Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy are pretty much my bibles, or Torah and Talmud for the Jewish demographic out there. Sarah Silverman is my Goddess and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are the Son and Holy Spirit, respectively. Pablo Francisco is kinda like Puck from "A Mid-Summer's Night Dream". I'm just rambling here but here are a few things which I enjoy and it gives the reader a better look into the psyche that comprises DomiNIC: The Power of Moonlight, the stars, the Ocean, Dark Romance, getting over things REAL fast, looking forward to a special someone's text message or call, making memories under a Full Moon, taking a jog at 2 a.m. on a warm summer night, being mistaken for an Arab by everyone in Iraq who doesn't know me, pens that write fluidly, those Alltel dork commercials, Stanley from The Office, ChapStick (I have an unhealthy relationship with this stuff), Gatorade, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds i.e. - translucent dreams, finding words like: Islamo - Fascist, waking up to get a glass of water and then going back to bed and continuing the same dream, Strongbow Cider with a shot of Jager on the side, air guitar while simultaneously playing air drums, waking up earlier then I say I will, taking shots while looking people in the eye, firm handshakes, people who don’t complain about stuff not worth complaining about, iced tea with Splenda, realizing the error of my ways, imagining what colors exist in Heaven that don't exist on Earth, body language, beauty marks, chili cheese hot dogs with onions and mustard on them, nachos w/ jalapenos, Crystal Light Passion Fruit Slurpees from 7-11, watching the sunrise with a special person on a deserted beach, watching the sunset from the wrong side of the tracks, the 2nd to last page of a book, seeing something that reminds me of someone, trying not to laugh at old people when they fall, finding 20 bucks in my jacket pockets after not wearing that jacket since last winter, agreeing to disagree, optimism, positivity, campfires, smelling the perfume on a woman who hasn't drowned herself in the stuff, asking questions, looking up definitions of words in the dictionary that I just read in a book/paper/periodical, etc, referring to myself in the 3rd person, eating grapes in the produce section of a grocery store/commissary, saving movie ticket stubs, being surprised, devising ways to dispose of bodies, smiling and waving @ people I don’t know, going in instead of going through the drive-thru, walking instead of driving, nicknames, Big League Chew, walking aimlessly through trails in the woods, learning from my mistakes, not realizing how awesome a CD is until 6 months or even a year later, being honest, making your flight or train just in the nick of time, not knowing what is going to happen next ........with anything in this universe or any other dimension or plane of existence.
Here's some other stuff I was thinking about. If it's wasting your time Stop. Dishonesty wastes my time. Listen, and say what you mean/mean what you say. Take serious things seriously. Initiate, fight something i.e. social injustice, racism, sexism, prejudice of any type because all prejudice is pure ignorance and fear of something different or unknown. Smile, because why not? I just wanna dance - there's no excuse to not be dancing. That kinda sums up my perspective on life and the universe in general.
