Frida Kahlo

Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Fire Walk with Me, Lost Highway, the Straight Story, Mulholland Drive, INLAND EMPIRE... Elephant Man and Dune too, though I prefer his original material. A lot of Tim Burton- Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice (love!), Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman Returns (want to be Catwoman), Ed Wood. Big-Top Peewee. Cabaret! Most of John Waters' movies. All of Werner Herzog's work I've seen so far: Nosferatu, Even Dwarfs Started Small, The Wild Blue Yonder (see Brad Dourif below). Stanley Kubrick. The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon. Hellraiser and Hellraiser II (the rest of that series I can do without), The Ring, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Silent Hill, Ghost World, The Last Unicorn, Fight Club, Lucky McKee's May,
Re-Animator, Todd Browning's Freaks (she was), Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Chainsaw Sally, Rain Man, Rocky, anything with Brad Dourif, especially One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Horseplayer, Wise Blood, Istanbul (it was really good!), the Chucky movies... but I'll watch anything with him in it, I just love him. Most anything with Crispin Glover- Willard, Bartleby, Twister, his own What Is It?, Rob Zombie's House of a Thouand Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, Napoleon Dynamite! Jim Jarmusch-- loooved Deadman and Down by Law (Tom Waits so sexy). Lots of other stuff.

DAVID LYNCHminiFEST - SATURDAY AUGUST 22, 2009 @ The Windup Space 12 W. North Avenue, Baltimore, MD
4:00pm – 1:00am / $5
DAVID LYNCHminiFEST 2009 – A salute to American film icon David Lynch featuring Angelo Badalamenti tribute band CHUG-A-LUG DONNA. This is for the true Lynch-heads. David worked on two television projects in the early 90’s, neither of which are currently available in any commercial form and have not been in circulation since the heyday of the VHS boom. As the popular analog tape format died off, many, many films have been lost in the technological transition from film to tape to the current digital media. The EAST COAST BOOKHOUSE BOYS AV CLUB is dedicated to preserving such works. This will be a seated, cabaret style affair. Coffee, pie, donuts, owls and all the damn fine hospitality you have come to expect from the good folks at David Lynchfest. We will be having our yearly big-big Fest next April 2010 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Twin Peaks with new bands and even more garmonbozia! Stay tuned. The Owls are not what they seem.
