About me:

KEEP WATCHING

Prologue: In the constellation of Cygnus, there lurks a mysterious, invisible force: the black hole of Cygnus X-1.... Six Stars of the Northern Cross In mourning for their sister's loss In a final flash of glory Nevermore to grace the night...
1. Invisible to telescopic eye Infinity, the star that would not die All who dare to cross her course Are swallowed by her fearsome force Through the void To be destroyed Or is there something more? Atomized...at the core? Or through the Astral Door? To soar...
2. I set a course just east of Lyra And northwest of Pegasus Flew into the light of Deneb Sailed across the Milky Way On my ship, the "Rocinante" Wheeling through the galaxies, Headed for the heart of Cygnus Headlong into mystery The x-ray is her siren song My ship cannot resist her long Nearer to my deadly goal Until the black hole Gains control...
3. Spinning, whirling, Still descending Like a spiral sea, Unending... Sound and fury Drown my heart Every nerve Is torn apart...

I am Nyarlathotep!

The 999 forms of Nyarlathotep are a point of meditation for the true initiate. It is through these manifold faces that the secrets of the universe are made known. Called "The Crawling Chaos", Nyarlathotep is the disembodied ego of Azathoth and thus the universal "I" of known reality. Some of the many documented forms are; Father of Knives, Nephren-Ka, the Black Man, the Beast of the Lashing Tongue to name a few. Damn straight.

Which Great Old One are you?

This is what I do in my 'spare time'...

In Moments of Madness
"IMOM" as it is known affectionately around here, is a collection of eleven truly mad stories by seven authors...some of whom are lurking on this very page. Shhhhhh. The selling price is $17.95.

This book has sex, blood, gods in the flesh, an avenging angel, crazy people, vampires, strange dreams, Artificial Intelligence, a shady antiquities dealer and a magic wand. What more could you ask for in a volume of 'dark reading'? The intriguing cover art for this collection is called "His Self" is by my friend Nathan.

AEONS PAST THE FIRST HOUR
is available now at EGREGOREPRESS.COM. "Aeons" is a tasty little book of night-side poetry by my friend Veronika Alexander. She manages to capture a whole range of dark emotions, passions and myths that are very gothic. The cover art is some of my own photo work run through paintshop.

The Book of Were-Wolves
is available now at EGREGOREPRESS.COM. This classic study of werewolves, turn-skins, berserkrs and their myths and stories by the Reverend Sabine Baring-Gould is a must for anyone interested in theriomorphism, and the legends of other dark souls. There is mention of Elizabeth Bathory, three chapters devoted to the infamous Gilles de Rais, and a chapter or two on other legendary beings. The creepy yet delightful cover art, "Knock-knock!" is by my friend Cobweb.

My idea or my notion of what the psychedelic experience is for is that we must each become like fishermen, and go out on the dark ocean of mind and let your nets down into that sea - and what you're after is not some behemoth that will tear thru your nets, foul them, and drag you and your little boat down into the abyss. Nor are what we're looking for a bunch of sardines, that can slip thru your net and disappear... ideas like "have you ever noticed that your little finger exactly fits your nostril?" - stuff like that. What we're looking for are MIDDLE-sized ideas that are not so small that they're trivial, and not so large that they're incomprehensible, but middle-sized ideas that we can wrestle into our boat and take back to the folks on-shore and have fish dinner. And every one of us, when we go into the psychedelic state, this is what we should be looking for - it's not for YOUR elucidation; it's not part of your self-directed psycho-therapy. You are an EXPLORER, and you represent our species - and the greatest good you can do is to bring back a NEW IDEA, because our world is endangered by the absence of good ideas. Our world is in crisis because of the absence of consciousness - and so to whatever degree any one of us can bring back a small piece of the picture, and contribute it to the building of the new paradigm, then we participate in the redemption of the human spirit - and that, afterall, is what it's really all about.

    2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root.

1000 A.D. - That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer.

1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion.

1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill.

1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic.

2000 A.D. - That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root.

Still missing you here on myspace.....
I guess I should comment on the sumerland blog more often. Still read it everyday though......
I really don't know why I feel more comfortable with one on one communication when on the computer.
I have no problem with speaking in person to groups of people or even in front of a large audience.
I think it may be because I've seen so many blogs turn into arguments. Most of the people on sumerland are pretty much of the same mind-set as I though.
I guess as I've gotten older I've learned that most people aren't really swayed by the opinions of others and are pretty much stuck in their own ways of thinking. I tend to avoid arguments at all costs due to my mouth has caused a lot of arguing in the past, lol.
Anyway, there's a lot of interesting food for thought on the site.
I really do miss your blogs on your myspace sites. I hope you come back soon.

    RISE

    Get out of my country

    You

    Fucking fanatic, we don’t want

    Your faithless preaching, we don’t

Want your fraud, go solicit your

    God

To the fools, and to the blind

    We see through your kind…

    Towel head motherfucker

    You are not Persian, you’re

    Not my countryman, poison

In your mind, filth in heart

    Lies in your mouth, you’re

    The virus, we are immune

    The tempest descends

    The palisades, the call

    To free a nation, Alborz

    To Tehran, to Esfahan

    Shiraz

    Hear the call

    Rise, Rise

    Answer

    The

    Call to freedom

Rise my people, rise with pride

    Rise

In courage, rise in the face of oppression

Rise like Rostam, rise for Cyrus and Darius

Rise for your brother, sister, and mother, rise

For your father today, rise rise, rise for me

Rise for you, Rise for us, Rise today for

    Iran.

    Solstice greetings from Montsegur

I have been off-line for some time but am pleased to report I have been granted stewardship of a cottage and bunkhouse in the valley below the castle to serve as a base of operations in the Zone. Hope to have full wi-fi by September. In the meanwhile I am back in London trying to pull 'VACATION' together and doing script duties on the new Takeshi Miike movie 'Secret History'. The devil makes work but i wouldn't have it any other way...

Wishing you and yours a bountiful solstice and a merrie old midsummer

May the grace of the 'white lady' and the blessings of Belisenna be upon you always - R x
