Their first album, Psykosonik, was a hard-hitting techno album with cyberpunk-esque lyrics. Songs from this album were featured in the Super Nintendo game, “X-Kaliber 2097”.
Their follow-up album, Unlearn, had a completely different sound. Gone were the DJ/techno stylings and sampled guitar tracks; instead, Unlearn was consisted of lush electronic soundscapes interspersed with instrumental tracks and ambinet music.
The band's third album, Spiritual Machine, was completed by 1997 but was never released by the band's label, Wax Trax! Records, who were by this time owned by TVT Records. The experience led to the subsequent disbanding of Psykosonik.
Today Psykosonik founder/singer and Platinum Record-winning producer Paul Sebastien returns to the music world after 8 years, teaming with Wideband Network founder Caesar Filori to create Basic Pleasure Model...with a mission to add some heady lushness, intelligence and unapologetic hedonism to the music landscape.
Daniel Lenz began his career as a DJ. After successfully spinning his own compositions, he joined Psykosonik and released two albums - Producing three tracks that hit the top 20 on billboard's dance chart. He also received a Platinum Album for the track "Unlearn" on the Mortal Kombat Soundtrack. He then started Hednoize, releasing the album "Searching For The End" to much crittical acclaim. With a new vocalist, Brent Daniels (aka Free). The album saw a bit of a departure for Lenz in regards to the sound and feel of Unlearn. Opting for a more industrial sound, the album was a hard hitting debut. Unfortunately, label support was minimal, involving mainly a website and a handful of LA club shows. He is now composing his own music for the use in film, TV, Games and commercials. Daniel is still producing, and most recently co-produced and wrote, "Stand" by Alice Cooper - featuring Xzibit for the 2004 Olympics.

Finally uploaded my new song. Tell all your friends and then choke them by shoving a blow pop deep into their throat and feast upon the silent flick of betrayal and dire agony that flows like a tsunami from their eyes.
I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of the UNLEARN album again since about 12 years ago when I used to listen to it EVERYDAY while doing my homework or drawing as a kid. This album was and is my favorite OF ALL TIME and I get to re-live it again!! With a mint original copy I fould on ebay. Just wanna say thanks to Daniel Lenz and Paul Sebastion...your music for some reason really sparks up my creative side and allows me to focus on my work, busting out the imaginable!... like a drug! No other CD has ever been able to do this.
Thanks for the friendship and the opportunity to explore your talent.
Peace!
Shannon
"I like any reaction I can get with my music. Just anything to get people to think. I mean if you can get a whole room full of drunk, stoned people to actually wake up and think, you're doing something." -Jim Morrison
Thanks for the add. Not sure if you remember, Paul, but we traded several e-mails a long long time ago (a decade or so) when I maintained a feeble attempt at a Psykosonik fan site. Awesome to see you alive and well. I think I wore out my copy of Unlearn, Recently picked both albums up again for my listening pleasure. Unlearn was truly a part of who I was and still am. Thanks!
I'm totally on the same page with Chris. I grew up listening to you guys in which you have totally inspired me. Electronica of the 90's was the best there was. Psykosonik definitely changed the way electronica music was pionereed.
Hey, I'm from Wenatchee, Wa. I sh*t you not I listened to your Unlearn album every day when I was growing up! It inspired me everytime I would draw. But now time has gone by, Cd's have been stolen/scratched etc. and I moved to Florida and cant find the Unlearn album for purchase ANYWHERE!!! Suggestions? Your biggest fan Chris
