About me:

Who I'd like to meet:
Brought together
by the love of music and the joy that it creates for people, Psynopticz
Productions was born.
Psynopticz Productions was formed in 2004 in London when the
founder, Calvin, found that he really enjoyed putting
parties together for people. A lover of most music genres wanted to see people
with smiles of pure enjoyment, some form of satisfaction that you can’t explain.
We have put a few events together in Cape Town and have had such great feedback.
Just to let you know what we have been up to:
Our first public event was Elec-Tric Mind Warz @ HQ. An event to remember. Two
months of planning and everything went to plan. Had great sound thanks to Swiss
Sound and the decor which is one of our areas that has a lot of time spent on
was insane. Great visuals thanks to Karl!! We got a big thanks by the manager
at HQ and he said quote: “Best Party ever done at the venue”.
We then got asked to do events at 'House of Fun' which was under
Bang Bang on Loop Street. A small cozy club that did various styles of music,
deep house, electro and we did the psy trance night once a week. We started off
with 5-10 people a night then by the end of the first month we were full. The
last event we did there we were packed. Awesome crowd and thanks to the Great
Ladies Max and Bianca ,who owned House of Fun, thanks for everything. You’re the
best!
We then moved onto recently doing ‘Famous Sunday Sessions’ at Café Vespa every
second Sunday. This was doing breaks and beats. Varying from minimal tech to funky
breaks and psychedelic breaks. Thanks to Keith for asking us to do the events.
We had great nights, really great!!
That’s not the end we were asked by The Bang Bang Club to do a Psychedelic night
every Thursdays. This will be deeply planned having a theme for each party and
awesome décor to accompany the insane flyers and ideas we come up with to produce
the events for all you people out there. It has become a great success with lineups
that include Broken Toy, Headroom, Daksinamurti, Kanan K7, Jibaro, Shift, Slug,
Artifakt, Dirty Motion, Cybernetix, Plusminus and many more... Keep updated on

What Psynopticz means to us!!
Psyn
An analog-like synthesizer. The reason why we chose this meaning is that it relates
directly to the music we love. It creates sounds that we yearn to hear. It uses
its various oscillators to change each sound wave eg sawtooth, sine into what
ever you want it to.
optics
The science concerned with the properties of light, its refraction and absorption
with matter, and the refracting media of the eye.
Atmospheric Optics = Light playing on water drops, dust or ice crystals in the
atmosphere produces a host of visual spectacles - rainbows, halos, glories, coronas
and many more. Some can be seen almost every day or so, some are once in a lifetime
sights.
So we have brought the two in unity to create musical visions balancing
perfectly with everything around us. This is not a once in a lifetime thing, we
are here for a lifetime! Décor and visual stimulants is one of our main focuses
as well as sound. We believe that those two put together create perfect harmony
and one awesome party! You Will See!!!

This is the month of ADRENOCHROME. This is a pigment obtained by the oxidation
of adrenaline. We all know to well who is famous for ingesting the substance,
Hunter S Thompson. So connotations aside let PsynOpticz pump your body fill with
musical ADRENOCHROME and melt your mind, cos well.................... its what
we do best.
