Came across this absolute goldmine for new and old Psychedelic music and recommend that you look it up.
It’s basically a free podcast full of amazing tunes that cover an exhausting range of styles. From straight down the line garage rockers right through to weird and wonderful outbursts of eccentricity, it’s like having that mate with the great record collection do you a 2 hour plus playlist which propels you along your musical path. Even better, when you’re ears and mind are open, just fuck the path and stray off on the tangents to see where it goes. This podcast is perfect for that.
I must admit this is a new discovery for me but something that I’m gonna delve into more without a doubt. The Psychedelic genre is so vast, in terms of sheer numbers of bands, and broad, in musical variation, that it’s a godsend to have something like this done with obvious passion and appreciation to guide you along the way. They don’t take themselves too seriously either, which is refreshing, judging by the DJ’s that pop up every now and again with a bit of tongue in cheek sixties Psych speak to tell what you’ve been listening to.
You can’t underestimate the value of people like Psychedelic Velveeta, using their musical taste and knowledge for good and giving you a chance to hear some sounds that might otherwise have remained hidden. I remember vividly the first time a good friend played me The Jesus And Mary Chain and the pieces falling in to place, I’m looking forward to more flashes of inspiration through the Velveeta playlists. Thank you Chris! We are honored!

Psychedelic Velveeta! Video Pick Of The Week!
-----------------------------------
This clip may need some explanation. The Producer (I mean Reducer), of the show, who is not pictured and Al, are unaware that I am using the alien, when the Reducer speaks. Things get kinda goofy but everything works in the end.

Randy looses it completely. Darcy ducks her head under the camera while Al reads the song title "Going Down". After that it's all down hill from here.
Hope you enjoy the little peek inside the crazy world of Psychedelic Velveeta! More to come if everyone enjoys it. Thank you all for being a part of our lives. We dig each and everyone of you! Cheers, Randy!

What we are listening to, is (you) a creation-the miracle, moment by moment, of naked existence. -A Huxley

Hey there fellow psychonaut. I have begun reading The Doors of Perception by Huxley. He describes a psychedelic experience as the "sacramental vision of reality". Music, as I see it, is the major and most essential component to an experience. It is, in some respects, the "sacramental vision" itself. If everything is seen as the mind perceives it, then staring at sound becomes more visceral and more sacred than a close encounter with God or with some kind of religious sanctity. I have come to believe and understand that music is just as much a visual artform as it is an aural art form. The reasons are: a)when you listen to a piece of music, the mind begins to wander (when there are no chemicals present in the brain, this happens subconsciously) and form images, pictures, colors, and visual presence; and b)when the mind is filtering a psychedelic drug, as in hallucinations both visual and auditory, we begin to Stare at the sound. This is where "feeling" the music, I believe, comes in. Anyways man, I been thinking about this a lot lately. But, take it easy and give me a call or whatever some time. Thanks! Jay Fox

Psychedelic Velveeta! Is proud to present fine recordings in our broadcasts.
Now, intense care and planning go into every show as evidenced in each of our current up-to-date recordings. They are arranged and produced to bring breathtakingly beautiful music, either stereophonic or monaural that is suitable for every mood and for hours and hours of listening or dancing pleasure. Thank you.
Also want to thank you for what you're doing to help further the Psychedelic Underground Resurgence (seems like a "movement" should have a moniker).
If you get a chance, I'd love your honest and unbiased feedback on my work. It's sort of a mix of 60s/70s classic/psychedelic rock with early alternative and a bit of a tribal-ish beat. Attempting to sound like an Indie Badfinger/T-Rex sort of thing, probably a bit closer to the sound of the unknown and one hit garage bands of that era.
Anyway, thanks again and hope you have a great weekend, try not to fight over the lack of parking spaces : ).
All my best to you, your family and friends. -Sheriden
