PT Grimm is an anti-core band that rose from the ashes of New York City’s electro-rock movement. The New Jersey based group was started by Mike Nashanian (vocals/keyboard) and his longtime musical partner Alien Poop (guitar/vocals), alongside Thumper H. Costa (drums), and Gritter (bass). PT Grimm went public in early 2004 with the release of their debut album, ‘Entropy’s Sideshow,’ which featured an ever evolving combination of industrial, punk, metal, and traditional European and Middle Eastern modes. The band’s artistic influences are as varied as their styles of songwriting, and their music has been described as everything from ethereal and enchanting to somber and disturbing. PT Grimm are currently finalizing a two part concept album entitled ‘The Exile/The Infidel.’ ‘The Exile’ will see release in mid 2009, while ‘The Infidel’ will come out in 2010.
