About me: Hockey fans Eddie Garcia and Doug Stolhand were frustrated with the lack of NHL coverage in the local and national media in the United States. Instead of bitching about the problem the boys decided to do something about it themselves. The rest is history.
Who I'd like to meet:
Steve Stamkos, #1 pick in the draft?
Is this really how Doug is going to fill his time during the off season?
Highlights from the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals
RIP Vancouver Canucks defenseman Luc Bourdon
Wings did a classy thing I didn't see until the CBC signing out music video... Penguins saluted the crowd as they left the ice, and the Wings applauded them. I know people like to hate the Wings for being so good, but they are a classy organization. And props to the Penguins. I hated on them and still don't like the hype and what seemed like bias toward them on NBC, but they made a really good turnaround in a few years and I'm sure the fans are proud.
So much for the post-obstruction NHL... every time I see a race for a loose puck, am I the only one who sees white shirts leaning into people and setting picks? Welcome to 2004!! haha...
It's easy to play such a boring style of hockey that no one cares.. only then can your self-declare your city "Hockeytown"
Anyways, I was going to say that I did end up catching the Russia/Canada game! There was a live streaming on some website that my friend gave me.. It wasn't the best quality though. It was a great game.. If they have the same thing next season I'll send it to you guys if you wish.
My Wings are in the Finals! If anyone has extra tickets, I have a lung and kidney I'm not using, as well as lots of blood, bone marrow, and eggs I'm not using. I'm just throwing that out there...
Oh well the B's lost, BUT we scared the crap out of the Montreal Scabs. I'm happy with our performance, even w/ a loss, hell NOBODY picked us to MAKE THE PLAYOFFS or even be close. I can't wait for next season. I feel the most confident about the B's than I have in a few years going into the offseason. To think we did this with no Patty Bergereon from November 'til the end of the year, & no Chuck Kobasew (not sure on spelling) for the playoffs. But with Cam "Sea Bass" Neely as VP, I'm lovin' it.
Now, the rest of the NHL know how to shut down the Scabs, to think if the Bruins could keep the Habs to a 10% Power Play, think what the Penguins could do. Bash up/Bang up Montreal, play them tough, make sure they don't dive every third shift to draw penalties. I wanna see a team from Canada win the cup, but BY NO MEAN THE CANADIANS!!!!!
I'm proud to be Sox, Pats, Bruins, Celtics fan.
I wish I could be a Bruins fan corespondent for ya, but I don't live in New England anymore, I ski out west (don't live near Boston anymore) now, & it rules!!!!
I second what the fella beneath me said... everyone had 'em down & out in 4 or 5 games. They've battled, and forced a game 7! Put Price on clearance...
Wow, you guys (Or think Eddie pick picked a 4-0 Scabs sweep) picked my Bruins pretty good, eh??? Picking the Scabs in 4 or 5 games, that worked out pretty good for ya.
Nobody has believed in my beat up/rag tag Bruins except up Black & Gold fans.
Onto a game 7 upset for some '04 revenge!!!! Claude Julian led the Montreal Scabs to 3-1 series over the B's, now that Julian is the coach of the B's I think he can lead Boston to a 3-1 sersies comeback.
Either way how game 7 turns out Boston had a hell of a season, with all the injuries they had. The Bruins must have gotten a hospital discount, with all the guys that got hurt for them this year.
