About me:
My name is Pulin.
I am Indian (born in NJ) and vegan (because my body is not a graveyard).
I work for PETA as the Action Team Manager.
“When a man’s love of finery clouds his moral judgment, that is vanity. When he lets a demanding palate make his moral choices, that is gluttony. When he ascribes the divine will to his own whims, that is pride. And when he gets angry at being reminded of animal suffering that his own daily choices might help avoid, that is moral cowardice.”..
-Matthew Scully in the book Dominion.
-In my lifetime I have won two spelling bees, lost a geography bee, and lost a veggie dog eating contest. I also made an unsuccessful attempt to ban "Best Looking" and other superlatives from my high school yearbook. In college, I wrote so many letters to the editor, that they gave me my own column. It was fun.
-The following things do not appeal to me: laugh tracks, selfishness, bullies, alcohol, smoking, absolute ideologies, shopping, and liars.-I love my job.
-I've protested hundreds of times at places like KFC and Ringling Bros circus . I've also tabled at events all over the US and a bit of Canada.
I am happy with who I am.
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who spends time to help other people, the environment, or animals (preferably people who understand how all these issues are fundamentally related). .. People I know from school, shows, activism, emails, etc. .. Anyone who can recommend a good book and/or political artist. .. People who realize that who I'd Like To Meet actually means more than just sending a random request to chalk up more 'friends.' .. Individuals who are so completely different than me that every interaction will be amazingly uncomfortable. .. Cool kids who ride bicycles in cities .. Residents of the 757. .. Anyone who will challenge me to do things I should be doing like spending time outdoors, being a bit more social, and learning to be patient. .. People who are not stupid.Details

"Tomorrow the world may burst into fragments. In that threat hanging over our heads there is a lesson of truth. As we face such a future, hierarchies, titles, honors are reduced to what they are in reality: a passing puff of smoke. And the only certainty left to us is that of naked suffering, common to all, intermingling its roots with those of a stubborn hope." -Albert Camus
