Sounds Like
Pulse strives to sound as close as possible to the original recordings but with a live performance feel. We've been told that, at times, you can close your eyes and feel like the original artist is on stage instead of us.

Friday, December 18, PULSE will play as Mixx's House Band! It would be great to have a pre-holiday celebration with you. You are needed to be there because that is the only way for you to tell Mixx that they chose wisely when they selected PULSE to be their house band.
ABOUT PULSE
Pulse’s roots go back to 1992 when Bob Ashmore (keyboards) found Bill Fox (bass) at work and invited him to jam. As the search progressed for other like minded players, Greg Van Allen (guitar; Strange Brew, The Critters) was added to the roster. The band played some clubs and private parties in the Lehigh Valley in 1994 and 1995 until a key member quit. After a hiatus of about one year, Bill Fox resurrected the band called ShadowPlay, bringing in Rod Gilkeson on vocals. On the strength of a three song demo tape, this is the version of the band that played its first job at 1997’s Musikfest. Three sets at the Bandstand held a crowd of 3000 listeners. The band returned to Musikfest’s Americaplatz stage in 1998. In 1999, the group disbanded.
Meanwhile, Greg Van Allen maintained another musical project called The Critters. Initially a duo, Bill Fox was added to the roster in 1995. While ShadowPlay was on hiatus, Bob Ashmore also came on board. This band continued until the end of 2004, having run its course.
In 2004, it was Greg’s turn to wish for a Classic/Progressive Rock outlet for his musical satisfaction. Immediately, former ShadowPlay members Bill, Bob, and Rod were asked to return. Needing a drummer, Bill Fenstermacher (Strange Brew, The Critters) was asked to join. After a year of rehearsing, the band finally played its first job at Club 316 in Emmaus on June 18, 2005. The band has been a favorite there ever since. The band played at the Hawk’s Classic Hits Showcase at the Maingate in May, 2006 where they made a big splash with their tribute band quality show. They were asked to return in 2007.
You guys are the BEST Classic Rock band in the area, hands down! Your choice of songs puts all other bands to shame. It's nice to hear music that hasn't been beaten to death by every other band in the area.
Hi . Well, i find you in the Pinnacle side. I now that you are a cover band, but yours good! Have a great summer. I am going too Denmark tomorrow for holiday. Regards Knut from Haugesund, Norway.
