Pulsic was formed by singer/guitarist Chris Coyner and guitarist and former bassist Dan Culver in Cottonwood, Arizona in November of 2007. Pulsic was later joined by bassist Will Bruce and then later drummer Sean Scott.
Coyner and Culver originally founded Undersurge with Eric Squires. Undersurge played few small gigs and was commercially unsuccessful. It was Undersurge that first attracted attention from the Blew Mirror bassist Sean Scott. Coyner however rejected Scott’s offers to join Undersurge as bassist due to Coyner’s reluctance to replace Culver. However, in a short period of time, Undersurge went through a series of lineup changes including Damon Montiel on rhythm guitar and Travis Sanchez on drums which both eventually fell out of the band along with Eric Squires. Culver then volunteered to become the lead guitarist after the departure of Squires. Soon after, freelance bassist Will Bruce was recruited and Scott then proposed to Coyner to become the new drummer in exchange for Coyner’s drumming talent in Blew Mirror. With a full band, the band naturally went through several name changes, finally settling with Pulsic.
In late May of 2008, (under their former name, "Synth") Pulsic recorded their first demo entitled Crush the Infected System, appropriately named in respect to the three core songs "Crush", "The Infected" and "System". The three fore-mentioned tracks were recorded at the Multi-Purpose Studio in Jerome, Arizona. The demo is further completed with three of Pulsic's "B-side" tracks, "I'm So Horny", "Denny's" and "Smash'em". The six song demo has so far been sold in various locations throughout their homestate of Arizona and several other states and can be found on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, and Napster.
In May of 2008, (also under under the name "Synth") One of Pulsic's first songs, “Crush” was selected to appear on a compilation album, Quickstar Productions presents Downtown Metal: Volume 10, which can be found on Vcast music.
In July of 2008, Pulsic appeared on two compilations presented, by Sinister Music Inc., with their song “System”. Both of which were handed out exclusively in Texas and New York during the Rockstar Mayhem Fest.
In August of 2008, Pulsic was a part of a twelve hour music festival based out of Jerome, Arizona entitled ROCKSTOCK 2008. The festival was the last for their bassist, Will Bruce, who left to pursue other interests. It was a mutual decision between both Bruce and the rest of the band. Damon Montiel, a close friend and ex-bandmate to the three remaining members, permanently took over bass duties for shows.
In December of 2009, Pulsic entered the studio with Perseverance Studios to record their debut album which is currently untitled.
