About Folk at The Pump House
Such sad news this week to hear that our dear friend from the Herga folk club, Johnny Collins passed away last week. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those who were close to him. NATIONAL STEEL are our guests this week. Lewis Cohen (of the Jumpsters and the Kickback) and Stuart Marshcat Cumberpatch (of Delta Echoes and formerly the Kennet Sheiks) re-create the masterpieces of the golden age of acoustic blues this Friday at Folk at The Pump House. The duo play a stunning collection of the vintage guitars featured on so many 1920s and 1930s 78 rpm records. This is a great opportunity to hear the authentic sounds of the Mississippi Delta - with numbers by Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Fred McDowell and Bukka White. NEXT WEEK is our last night of the season before we close for the summer so please join us as residents WARP&WEFT perform a great set of folk songs old and new! If you want to contact Folk at The Pump House please email; carriecharles@hotmail.co.uk or press the 'Message Me' icon if you are a My Space member. We love to read your comments on the MySpace page too! Check out the Pump House website for further info and a map for Watford's unique Arts Centre and Theatre www.pumphouse.info. For more great Folk acts in and around London 'Bright Young Folk' will guide you there: http://www.brightyoungfolk.com

Many thank for booking us to appear at the Pump House. We thoroughly enjoyed performing for a great audience. It brought back wonderful memories of the club and it was a pleasure to be back there again after so many years. May the club go from strength to strength! All the very best.
