Hey thanks a bunch! We recorded those w/ a cheap voice recorder just to satisfy all the people until we got our drummer & bassist. We're goining into the studio somtime before the end of the year and plan to get to your area for shows SOON!!!
Much love,
~dMh~
yeah it's kinda got that feel, and i have heard of people gettin really freaked by it. So what did you guys think after the show? you all gonna continue with shows around town or are you recording bound?
Yeah thank you, those are just rough recordings done at a friends house with a little digital 8-track mixer. There are actually vocals on the first track, but all of them need to be updated. About our show at the Mews, it's been changed to November 25th but still at 5pm.
We usually pracetice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays but this past week we were in a little funk because everyone was getting sick. We play at my friend Max's house, and he's got a fantastic space. We got a kit set up there, a keyboard, and a bunch of amps, it's awsome.
Greg, thanks for the message my friend. I'm really diggen the band's sound, it brings me back to a happy and inpirational place from my growing up. A very alternative 90's feel that Punching Betty has damn near mastered in my opinion. "So Easy" is a great tune that gets me groovin. In both tracks Johnny pulls some fun surfin-like guitar rifts, I hear some good poppy drum beats from Adam along with some fell good harmony's, and Mr. Adams on bass wow... not just a boring on beat thump ever 2/4th meassures lol... he's got some fun bouncy bass lines. Now lets see Greg... can we say a new original vocal sound for this style of music? Sound great to me and I would love to possibly share a good bill with you rockers in the spring 2010.
I might be in the Des Moines area on Oct. 24th if so I am going to bring my crew with me to your gig at Vaudeville Mews :)
