PUNGZA were 4 ordinary men with a distaste for most things, a distrust of everything but a special place in their hearts for all things obese. Behind their polite, soft spoken ways and bashful half smiles came an aggressive, dark barrage of sound, seeped in distortion and screams but hailing to reveal a melodic core. Lyrically warped and cynically twisted by their colliding riffs and shifting beats PUNGZA wouldn't stop until you were converted to the masses or crawling for the door.
Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...

Maria Willson Maria herself, stunningly glamourous, has a voice somewhere between an English Kelly Clarkson and a younger Sheryl Crow. Her songs, albeit still just demos for now, ooze trans-Atlantic class, and are stomping pop/rock anthems underpinned by some fat Hammond style organ lines and chunky guitars such as the smouldering 'Ready to blow' or the sassy strutt of 'Agent Provocateur'. The ever shifting groove on Halo - along with that GREAT monstrous snare sound - rocks my socks. Keaton has equally pleasing sounds and rhythmic tomfoolery, great!
Hey, we have an album now!
We just got back from Germany and we have our first album with us! The album will be released in July, but you can already hear some of the songs on our myspace page and if you like it, preorder the album too.
