Welcome to YEAR ZERO.
Five angry men gathered in the year 2003, in the worn and torn streets of Nottingham (ROCK CITY) with a boredom of the state of the U.K scene and a need to be heard. We poured all that energy into the Mini album
"LETSDOTHEDONTCARE".
NME "...The kind of left field agit-pop which they just don't make any more...Micro anthems which recal Wire and vintage PIL" 8/10
KERRANG "...This is a stunning first effort which points the way to an even more promising future." KKKK
We've shared the stage with some great bands....The Future Heads, Franz Ferdinand, The Rapture, Lady Sov, Radio 4, Forward Russia, Ikara Colt, Liars, Ex-Models, Chinese Stars, New Black, The Rakes, Your Code Name Is Milo, Pink Grease, J R Ewing,The Pipettes, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Neils Children and Lou Barlow.
We picked up some mystical tutorage on our first tour from the grand wizard of the punk funk mixing desk Paul Epworth, When we toured with his band Lomax (R.I.P).
In 2004 we self released the stand alone single "Filthy Advice".
It didn't blaze up the charts but Play Louder did make it Single of the week.
PLAYLOUDER "A wholly fantastic record; whack it on and be prepared to mop the sweat out of the stereo".
Then in 2005 we recorded a live session for John Kennedys XFM show then were whisked off to Texas for the annual Music Conference SXSW a musical carnival of A&R men and Bullshit!
From which the NME featured us on the front cover CD as one of the bands at the front of the Brit Explosion,
NME "A post At The Drive-In knees-up...Ace"

Kling Klang
I totally buzz off Kling Klang. Fat electro krautrock riffs and landscapes get channeled through amiable scousers. http://www.myspace.com/klingklang

Quack Quack
Yorskhire's top semi-pro rock band create pulsing rhythmic grooves lovingly fermented from the finest drums, synths and bass they could get their hands on. A very special vintage. http://www.myspace.com/thisisquackquack

Minghe Morte
Musicianship of the highest calibre which will blow your head clean off. With drums, fucked up sax and bass coming together for infectiously violating rock grooves, tender atmospheres and aggresive spasmodic climaxing. http://www.myspace.com/minghemorte

Curious Voice Duo
Two lovely girls from LIMA* who know their voices. Performing within semi-structures with an innocent improvisational flair, entwining their heavenly voices in gorgeously melodic dialogue. With no added vocal effects. http://www.myspace.com/elisabethnygaard http://www.myspace.com/mariajardardottir

La La Lepus German disco punk glued together with industrial electro. If Picasso were to build a robot, it would sound like this.
BattleCat! The bastard second coming of Test Icicles. A two man shit storm from Mansfield creating their own blend of "drill & bass" and post punk electronica.
ineedtodiscover Quirky rock guitars driven by arithmetic synth lines and disco drum patterns, all falling together to create a fresh and unique poly-rhythmic sound.
