Punk-A-Billy Festivals started as one low key show, now after 8 events across Victoria, Queensland and internationally, it has turned into a massive bi-annual event designed to showcase local, interstate and international bands.
Thanks to everyone who made it out to Punk-A-Billy 9 in the pissing down rain, those of you to scared of the rain to venture out, you missed killer sets from Canadians Buzz Deluxe, Casino Rumblers, the return of The Worst not to mention the rest of the crazy line-up.
With Punk-A-Billy 10 looming, the excitement is brewing. This tenth festival will be the first time Punk-A-Billy has toured Australia, staging events in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne.
Returning to headline their second festival are KC and the Moonshine Band, who will make the trek over with fellow Canadian rock ‘n’ roll punks Rehab for Quitters.
The Punk-A-Billy 10 tour kicks off on March 13 at Shed 5 on the Gold Coast before making its way to the Sandringham Hotel in Sydney on March 20 and onto the Warehouse in Wollongong on the 21st. This Wollongong gig heralds the first ever all-ages Punk-A-Billy event. The tour wraps up back in its home town, Melbourne, at the Barleycorn Hotel on March 27. A massive local line up will perform at each show, and playing all three states are Melbourne rock-a-billy boys The Australian Kingswood Factory, Melbourne city hell dykes Liquor Snatch and self-proclaimed Aussie super-group Punch the Clown.
