Love my job, well into films and media. Currently Promo Onlining at ITV. Interviewed a few bands, shot a few music videos, edited a few music videos - look out for the new Gallows video "Just because" - out soon, (check my work on DJ Fusion's, greatest show - this won best music video at the 2005 urban music awards), like to hang out at Seb and Hans' and play xbos like to use my PD170 video camera a lot,(check our website www.tankfilms.co.uk). My life. Punk rock mainly. Dragon Force is the best band in the world and if you don't listen to them you'd better get a life right now or they will chop your head off!!! It's an easy choice, if you ask me. Also all about Strike Anywhere and Rise Against right now. Love 7 Seconds, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Nofx is my all time favourite band, Crazy love for the misfits and the clash, Propagandhi, Weakerthans, Transplants, Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil, Fireapple Red are amazing, Blood for Blood, Lawrence Arms, Good Riddance, Comeback Kid, Youth of Today, Dag Nasty, Thrice, Cock Sparrer, AFI kicks much ass, Bad Religion obviously, Me First rule, Coheed (well, that one song anyway), Bad Brains, Iron Maiden, CRASS, dashboard confessional, the awesome streetlight manifesto and catch 22, have loved the police from a very early age, Necro, Circle of Tyrants, Danny Diablo, Madeleine Peyroux, Saves the Day, Toots and the Maytals, Downset, Type O Negative, love the new Avenged Sevenfold but not really the old stuff, Strung Out, Wiseguys, DJ Format, Agnostic Front. And the slackers are one of the best stage prescence bands I have ever seen. Own every album. To be honest, I spend all day at work watching and editing films and tv programs, so it needs to be pretty special for me to want to watch it in the evening,
Books
Stiglitz's Globilization and it's discontents, Any Chomsky I can understand, the best democracy money can buy, No Logo, Piero Gleijeses' conflicting missions, love bad Sci fi like Asimov, hitchhiker's guide, dirk gently. I read Red Dwarf about once a year, and have done since I was ten. Adbusters magazine is awesome and life changing, Homage to Catalonia, 1984, Animal Farm, Brave new world and Island, comics like squee and lenore, Black Heart Billy tops the punk comics, letters from the underground, Wind up bird Chronicles, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, 'A heartbreaking work of staggering genius' is the best book I've read in years, The Idiot, love Haruki Murakami at the moment,
Who I'd like to meet:
People into music probably. People that play instruments. People with a shit taste in films to coincide with mine. Somebody that doesn't mind the fact that I continously talk about work and how great my company / band / music scene is, while disapproving of anything remotely mainstream or corporate. (Despite being attired head to toe in heavily branded 'punk' and skate-wear and working for a large commercial television station). You must be tolerant of my pseudo-intellectual conversation, and wrongly believing that I am some kind of authority on political issues because I read a few fucking Chomsky books that I didn't really understand. And you have to laugh at my stupid and badly aimed jokes when no-one else would.
---Oh yeah, and anybody that needs any video work. I got a camera, edit software and I work in post. Access to everything you need. You need it filmed or edited, come see me. I'll do you deals on music videos cos they're what I want to do full time one-day soon.
