About me:
Punk Or Nothing was a short run fanzine which lasted the majority of 2007. It is now a website, and better for it! Doing it is like taking a huge shit in most ways; it's time-consuming and sometimes painful, but when you're finished, you're relieved because all of the crap has left your system. Since May 2007, We've self-published interviews with faces such as Ray Carlisle of Teenage Bottlerocket, Grath Madden from the Steinways, Kurt Baker of the Leftovers and Ben Weasel. As we became more aware of, and more immersed in, our own scene over here in sunny old Britain, we decided to split the zine down the middle and devote it not only to what's brewing in the U.S, but also to documenting groups/events closer to home - "employing" the locals to write and also reaching out to overseas fans to contribute. We like to feel as if Punk Or Nothing has come a long way since the initial triggering of its inception (the inspiration of the latest American pop-punk springs to mind). We also enjoy entertaining the idea that our cheap, co-written zine has transformed into somewhat of a literary establishment which can be potentially appreciated by punks the world over. The probable truth, though, is that it's just a piece o' shit and a nice distraction at best. We aim to retain that supposed element of universal appeal for as long as we might last. Here at Punk Or Nothing, we want scenes from far and wide to dig.
Cool, honest to god punk rock fans and musicians who feel compelled to support their independent music scene.
To advertise on Punk Or Nothing.com for as little as £10/$20: get in touch!
Punk bands (and only punk bands, since this is a punk website you're dealing with): get in touch. We always review, so message us to sort something out! Effective 24/6/08: we won't be accepting your MySpace demo unless we're super best friends or on a sexually intimate level. We just can't keep up with everyone who asks.
Oi oi, we're gigging yet again. We're on first at 7.30, also with The Jackdawa, Rescued by wolves and In isolation. £4 entry and plenty if rockin tunes. Be good to see a few friendly faces!
Sounds good. I know I start training for my teaching position on the 6th and it will be ongoing for a few more months but hopefully we can work something out. the extra coin i make from taking those paid surveys online helps out alot tho; you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
